00:00But talk to me about some of the golfers, you know, stateside,
00:02who really like to get out there and play the Scottish Open
00:05as that warm-up before they take on the Open the next week.
00:08Well, Donnie, three years ago, the Tour and the DP World Tour,
00:11which is now, you know, what we always knew as the European Tour,
00:15they went and they made it a co-sanctioned event.
00:17So as such, there's 156 players in the field,
00:20top 65 in ties make the weekend.
00:22Now, I bring all this up because there's 84 players from the PGA Tour
00:25and there's 72 men from the DP World Tour.
00:28Now, if you look at it historically, since it became co-sanctioned,
00:32the guys that make the cut, around 70 guys that make the cut,
00:3545% of them have been from the DP World Tour.
00:38So if you're playing Daily Fantasy or you're building out your betting card,
00:41you've got to pay attention to that.
00:42We all have a domestic bias. I know we do.
00:44I don't go over there looking for haggis. I'm looking for McDonald's.
00:47I get it. But the point is, is that if you want to win money this week,
00:51you've got to pay attention to these DP World Tour guys.
00:54And yet, Keith, when we look at the odds board, of course,
00:57it is very familiar names and faces with the shortest prices.
01:01Scotty Scheffler back in the field in a short number, plus 360.
01:05Half and then some of every other golfer in the field.
01:08You think going across the pond.
01:10Next week's Open at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland,
01:15near Rory McIlroy's hometown.
01:17Of course, we keep an eye on Rory at an 8-1 number.
01:21Last year's champion golfer of the year, winning the Open Championship.
01:25Xander Schauffler at 18-1.
01:28So let's get into it here as we look at the odds board
01:32and maybe some early leans on the early line.
01:35Keith, who do you expect to have a good week over at the Scottish Open?
01:39Well, hey, you know what, Scotty?
01:41Maybe a tale of two years.
01:42Last year, he was third.
01:44You know, a couple of years ago, he actually missed the cut, believe it or not.
01:47Rory, he just shaved his head.
01:48So take that for what you want.
01:50But that, you know, crossing the Atlantic cleanse,
01:53maybe Rory, he's ready for business.
01:55He's heading to Northern Ireland, his home golf course, Royal Portrush, next week.
01:59And he's been good at the Scottish Open.
02:00But I'm looking a little bit further down the board for my early leans on the early line.
02:04And the first guy, sometimes they talk about change not being great for professional golfers.
02:09But you know what?
02:10Colin Morikawa, sitting at plus 2,500 on the board,
02:13around guys like Tommy Fleetwood and others that basically just don't win.
02:18Morikawa has been a good Lynx player.
02:20And you know what?
02:21He was eighth at the Rockets, so we know he's in good form.
02:23But there's been a lot of drama surrounding Colin lately, right?
02:26You know, like there's a lot of drama going on with this light right now in my background.
02:30But I'm neither here nor there on this.
02:32Here's the thing.
02:33Colin switched caddies again this week.
02:35And I love the guy that he picked, Billy Foster, an Englishman, right?
02:39A very direct guy, a no-nonsense guy.
02:42Colin's been dealing with a lot of drama.
02:44And the fact of the matter is, is that I think he needs a guy that says,
02:47hey, hit the eight iron, or the putt breaks here, or hey, let's move on.
02:52I know you made a bad score, or you made a good score.
02:54Don't get too high.
02:55I love this move, and I think it could cause some, like, immediate results for Colin.
03:00So I'm getting behind Colin.
03:01The second guy is an Englishman, Matt Fitzpatrick.
03:04And uniquely enough, when Matt won the U.S. Open, Billy Foster was his caddy.
03:09But that's not the reason why I'm taking him.
03:10You look at the betting board, starting the week, FanDuel, plus 3,500 on Fitzpatrick.
03:15He's all the way down to plus 3,500.
03:17I'm not the only one thinking this.
03:19In six trips to the Renaissance Club, he's got a couple top tens.
03:22He's got a 14th.
03:24He's a good, solid English United Kingdom player.
03:27I love Fitzpatrick over there.
03:28Last couple starts, a 17th and an 8th.
03:31The game is in good form.
03:32Put him on the fescue slow greens over there.
03:34And I think he finds a little form and maybe some magic come Sunday.
