00:00A lot of people have told me, people who have family members who have been disappeared, is the term they're using.
00:05That's the right term.
00:05They say that they feel like the sanctuary state policies and sanctuary city policies failed them.
00:10So two questions.
00:12Is there anything the state can do to prevent what is happening, like today at MacArthur Park,
00:17or other raids that happen where people are taken?
00:21Like today, I don't think we have reports that anybody was detained.
00:24Yeah, which only reinforces the theater, the spectacle, the cruelty, the weakness.
00:31Expressed by the very statement of the Borders are that apparently wasn't able to find an arrest.
00:36Gee, how weak, how weak, how pathetic, how cruel.
00:44As it relates to the sanctuary policies, they're limited in their scope and effectiveness.
00:50L.A.'s sanctuary policy is different than San Diego's, different than San Francisco's, different than Fresno's.
00:56The state, altogether different.
00:58As you know, the state of California has cooperated as it relates to the transfer of criminals,
01:04people that are lifers coming out of the state system, over 11,000 people.
01:10Just since I've been governor, I've coordinated with ICE.
01:13This is not about going after dangerous criminals.
01:16This is about going after members of our community that have been here 10, 20, 30 years.
01:24This is about destroying the fabric of this state.
01:27It's about taking this state down.
01:30That's what this is about.
01:31It's intentional.
01:32And it is cruel.
01:36It's increasingly inhumane.
01:40And it's increasingly become a spectacle.
01:44And it's become theater.
01:48But real people's lives are being impacted.
01:52And so we'll continue to do what we can through our network, our response, rapid response network, to your question.
01:58We'll continue to do what we can to support people's legal rights, their due process under the Constitution of the United States.
02:06We continue to file lawsuits and continue to win those lawsuits.
02:12There is at least one other branch of government operating.
02:17And it's certainly not the legislature.
02:19It's not Congress.
02:20They have given up that role and responsibility.
02:23Speaker Johnson has abdicated that.
02:26But the courts still remain.
02:29And that will be a pathway for us to do more.
02:33But the rapid response networks, community, nonprofits, leaders, well-established in the state, become foundational in terms of protecting our communities and supporting people at a time where they're feeling terrorized by these cruel antics and theatrics in the middle of a soccer field with horses.
