00:00We've heard a number of extremely far-fetched notions, including the shocking and almost

00:06incomprehensible one from the Defense Minister of Israel that was whispered to Israeli military

00:12correspondents last night at about the same time, a few hours before this meeting between Benjamin

00:19Netanyahu and Donald Trump. Basically, and I'm choosing my words very careful here, I'm quoting

00:25from the briefing. The idea is to concentrate the population of Gaza, initially 800,000 people,

00:33but eventually all about 2.2 million residents of Gaza, into what they're calling, the Defense

00:41Minister is calling a, quote, humanitarian city to which screened Gazans will be allowed in and from

00:48which they will not be allowed out. This was not even really couched in the terms of offering them

00:55protection. To me, it seemed much more a kind of trial balloon emanating from a senior member of

01:04the Israeli government, a possible way to try and pacify the extremist right-wing minority base of

01:13this government while the Prime Minister was engaged in talks over something that this extremist minority

01:21did.
