00:00Now, I love that you chose the wig yourself, and I'm curious, with you confirming that you're in Lanterns,
00:05have you chosen a more egregious wig, or will we expect the same Guy Gardner glory?
00:09I think the same glory. I don't want to make it sound like I chose the wig.
00:14There were some ideas floating around for some different hairdos.
00:17I was on Team Bullcut, and eventually everybody came over to the right team.
00:22Team effort on the wig. You will not take blame or credit, which I respect.
00:26Now, there's a middle finger sequence that really pops in this film.
00:29It's in the trailer. It's fantastic.
00:31When and how was that conceived, and how much of that were you a part of?
00:34That was well after. That was a surprise to me when I eventually saw it,
00:38when I was doing some looping, some sound stuff afterwards.
00:42I asked them, can you let this little scene just roll for a second?
00:45Let me see what happens. So that was a big surprise for me.
00:48Oh, that's amazing. What joy. How was it to see yourself flip off so violently?
00:52I imagined a wave of energy. This was so much more creative and so much more Guy.
00:57Now, you've played many icons. You've voiced many icons.
01:00You've played characters that have become icons.
01:02What's it like to take on a character that is so ironically and unironically loved?
01:08I'll let you know. I don't know yet. No one has seen it yet.
01:12Fair.
01:13Fair. So was it joyful for me? Yes. Did I steal the ring? Also yes.
01:18Oh, beautiful, sir.
01:19Come on.
01:20Last question. With the tone of lanterns being something that starts terrestrial and seems to go into the cosmic area,
01:25was it a different flavor to work with a different director to have a different timing on set?
01:30Did it feel different being a lantern in lanterns?
01:32It was certainly a little bit of a different situation for Guy,
01:35but James was very careful about making sure that it was consistent in the universe.
01:42These shows aren't existing within a bubble.
01:44They all exist on the same plane at the same time in the same universe.
01:49So there is care and consideration at that point.
01:51So it's reading someone else's title, like Detective Comics vs. Action Comics, like we go on another tone?
01:55Exactly. Exactly. But another tone, but it's the same character,
01:59but just introduced to a different set of circumstances.
02:01Human Target to this day is one of my favorite Guy Gardner experiences.
02:05Is there anything, I know you're a comic guy.
02:06We talked about actually buying floppies on Wednesdays.
02:08Yes.
02:09Anything you want to plug or a comic you'd like to recommend to folks before you take off?
02:13Oh, well, it's already a TV show, but if you haven't read the Invincible series, it's fantastic.
02:19Yeah?
02:19It's fantastic.
02:20Yeah, Kirkman's a genius.
02:21Yeah, yeah, yeah. Agree.
02:22Okay, beautiful. Thank you, man. I always appreciate your time.
02:24And thanks for being a nerd that made nerd stuff. It means a lot to me.
02:27Thank you, brother.
