00:00SMS messaging and the old and tried email correspondence are the notifications of choice by the MMDA to inform transgressors of the end cap of their moving violations.
00:12To protect them from fraudulent designs, the MMDA has cleverly devised caveats under the scheme dubbed as Mayhulika as we hear more from our Joshua Garcia.
00:21In compliance with President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr.'s directives to improve the notification process for traffic violations under the No Contact Apprehension Policy or NCAP,
00:33the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority or MMDA has officially launched the Mayhulika web app, SMS and email notification services.
00:41This initiative aims to ensure faster and more convenient delivery of violation alerts to motorists by sending real-time notifications via SMS and email
00:50as soon as a violation has been validated through the Land Transportation Management System or LTMS records.
00:56The MMDA highlighted the importance of the SMS feature, especially for motorists with limited or no access to the Internet,
01:03as they can still receive important updates directly to their mobile phones.
01:06To prevent fraud and scams, the MMDA clarified that all official messages will not contain payment links, contact numbers, or allow replies via SMS.
01:15The public is also strongly advised to report any suspicious messages or unknown numbers claiming to be from the agency.
01:21Kahit po sa SOCMED namin, pwede pong ipadala yung report para we can coordinate with PNP kay General Torre at ganunin po sa DICT para ma-report natin, ma-investigate at mapigilan po at mahuli and ma-prosecute po itong mga nang-e-scam.
01:41Motorists are urged to keep their LTMS records up-to-date and to immediately process the transfer of ownership for sold vehicles to avoid receiving violations tied to vehicles they no longer own.
01:52The Mayhulika system is focused exclusively on ANCAP-related violations.
01:56Within the first two weeks of its launch, the MMDA recorded between 300,000 to 500,000 inquiries on the Mayhulika website.
02:03As of now, the average daily number of inquiries has reached around 50,000.
02:07To date, a total of 31,000 ANCAP violations have been captured, of which 17,000 have been validated.
02:14Among these, 15,000 motorists have already received official notices of violation.
02:19The MMDA is also working to improve the payment process for ANCAP violations by integrating e-wallet options to make settling fines more convenient.
