00:00In other news, the Commission on Elections, or COMELEC, officially opened the enrollment for

00:03internet voting, allowing registered overseas Filipino workers, or OFWs, to participate in

00:09the upcoming midterm elections. According to COMELEC Chief George Erwin Garcia, all OFWs who

00:15are registered voters must enroll in the designated website to be eligible for online voting. This

00:21measure is necessary as some countries will only allow OFWs to vote through internet-based platforms

00:27in the upcoming elections. To complete the enrollment process, OFWs are required to provide

00:33their email address, mobile number, and a valid government-issued ID, such as a passport to verify

00:39the identity of voters before they are granted access to the online voting system. Meanwhile,

00:45overseas voting will officially begin on April 13 and will run until May 12,

00:50ensuring that Filipinos abroad have ample time to cast their votes.
