00:06and the odds of Senator Francis Escudero retaining leadership of the esteemed chamber in the 20th Congress.

00:15It is likely Senate President Gise Escudero will retain his position as Senate President

00:22once the 20th Congress opens session this month.

00:26This if the pronouncement of Senator Gingoy Estrada comes true

00:30as Estrada announced that Escudero musters a majority of senators supporting his cause

00:36with possibly more than 13 senators backing him.

00:40We have enough numbers, more than 13 I suppose.

00:45And I think Senate President Gise Escudero is already secured of having his next term as Senate President.

00:52If you could, we'll just give notice na lang na we have more than 13 votes.

01:07Estrada meanwhile leaves to his colleagues the decision to retain him as Senate President pro-tempore

01:13while he believes Senator Joven Villanueva could return as Senate Majority Leader,

01:18replacing former Senator Francis Tolentino.
