Kannur (Kerala), July 07, 2025 (ANI): After the revelation by an RTI report that Kerala invited 'spy' Jyoti Malhotra as state tourism influencer, BJP leader K Surendran on July 07 called it a serious concern to national security and demanded a serious and strong inquiry on this. “It is a serious concern to national security. The state govt and the tourism department have sponsored this program to visit the major centres like Cochin Shipyard and the Naval Academy, and many other places she visited. That time, we were asking who gave her permission to visit these places in Kerala. Now the tourism minister is saying that they were unaware of this... We demand a serious and strong inquiry on this,” said K Surendran.

00:00I raised this issue in public domain. Unfortunately, at that time, the mainstream media and the
00:08political parties neglected, totally neglected this issue. This is a serious concern to national
00:15security. The state government, the tourism department has sponsored this program to visit
00:24the major centers like Cochin Shipyard, like Aedimala, Naval Academy, many places we visited.
00:32At that time, we were asking who engaged her to visit and to see the important places in
00:42Kerala. Now, the tourism minister, Mr. Mohamed Riyas, the son-in-law of the chief minister,
00:47is saying that we were unaware of her. This is a baseless thing. So we demand a serious
00:55and strong inquiry on this.
