Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, July 2, 2025 (ANI): Congress leader and Kerala Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan slammed state’s BJP president Rajeev Chandrasekhar for accusing the party of supporting ‘Jamaat-e-Islami’. While speaking to ANI, the Congress leader said "... Don't teach Congress secularism through a BJP man. The RSS leader demanded the exclusion of the words secularism and socialism from the Constitution... BJP is playing opportunistic politics in Kerala. There is an unholy nexus between CPI (M) and state BJP leaders. They are taking an anti-Congress stand, so they are indirectly supporting CPI (M)." Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has intensified his attack on the Congress party, accusing it of being "remote-controlled" by Jamaat-e-Islami, an organisation he claims promotes anti-secular ideologies.
