00:06just a day after two other suspects were killed in a separate shootout in Jitra.
00:12The latest incident occurred at around 7.50 p.m. on Saturday in Bandar Puteri Jaya.
00:18According to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department Acting Director Datuk Fadil Marsus,
00:23the suspect, aged 34, was gunned down during a special operation led by Bukit Aman with support
00:31from several state contingents. He said police had attempted to arrest the man believed to be part
00:37of a gang responsible for armed robberies across multiple states, but the suspect fought back,
00:43leading to a shootout. A pistol and several items were recovered at the scene. The suspect had a
00:49criminal record of more than 30 offences. Fadil said the man was also believed to be a key member
00:55of a criminal syndicate linked to armed robbery, gangsterism and drug trafficking, activities
01:01that date back to 2022, with estimated losses nearing 6 million ringgit. Investigations also
01:08found that the suspect was allegedly involved in three recent armed robbery cases in Malacca,
01:13Negri Sembilan and Perak. The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code
01:20for Attempted Murder. Earlier on Saturday morning, two other suspects were shot dead by police
01:26near the North-South Expressway exit in Bandar Darul Aman, Jitra.
