00:00Professor, I've spoken to many people from within Israel about the situation and they would argue that Israel has the right to defend themselves against Hamas and the Iranian proxies within the Middle East.
00:17We've seen the Houthis, Hezbollah, Hamas, etc. And they would also say that Hamas are terrorists who are using the Palestinian people as human shields. What do you make of this argument?
00:33Well, obviously, it's a propaganda and it's a propaganda that is based on lies. You know, the Israelis are trying to find every single way to justify the killing and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian civilians.
00:50I mean, it's no strange to all of us to say that, for example, from day one, the Israeli defense minister made it very clear that the Palestinians are animals.
01:05He made that statement, not the Palestinians, nor the Americans, nor anybody else. And he called for the cutting the water, the food, medicine and everything on Gaza.
01:22This is, according to international law, is basically an ethnic cleansing, is genocide. We know that several countries, including South Africa, decided to go to the ICJ and launch a case of genocide against Israel and in particular against Netanyahu and his defense minister.
01:47We hear every day statements that are totally ugly statements, I call them, from Smotrich and Bengafir against the Palestinian population.
02:00Now, if they are talking about Gaza and Hamas, but why are they doing a lot of destruction and killing and detention for Palestinians in the West Bank?
02:17So, in the West Bank, as you know, the Palestinian authorities are in charge with the West Bank. But we are witnessing also a daily incursion against the Palestinian cities in the West Bank, a daily killing and destruction in the West Bank.
02:36So, basically, the Israelis are free to share their propaganda. But it's up to people all around the world to believe it or not. And as a person who lives in the United States and witnessing firsthand what's going on in the United States, I see that more and more people around the globe and in the United States are now standing with the Palestinians against the Israeli destruction.
