00:00And Matthew, as a former U.S. ambassador, where do we go from here?
00:05Because, you know, we've got the 60-day proposal that Donald Trump has put on the table.
00:10It doesn't actually appear to be much different to what we've seen before.
00:14A few tweaks here and there.
00:17We know that Hamas wants something completely different.
00:20Are we at a deadlock?
00:22Where's the answer here?
00:24Yeah, well, we don't know yet, right?
00:26So in a classic diplomatic approach, you bite off whatever pieces you can to get to a cessation of hostilities and then take the negotiations from there.
00:38And it's impossible to predict how those negotiations will go.
00:42But as we've already said, you know, Hamas seems desperate for the fighting to stop.
00:47Israel has strong political incentive inside the coalition to keep fighting.
00:51But the Israeli people don't want to see the fighting continue.
00:54So how those three pieces play out, plus Donald Trump, who considers himself the world's greatest dealmaker, very much wanting a deal.
01:02And, of course, you know, he wants to announce it on Monday when Netanyahu is in the Oval Office.
01:07But Trump really, really wants the war to end.
01:09So these are four different bits of political power that are going to be knocking their heads together with hopefully Egypt and Qatar being able to broker some sort of an outcome.
