00:00I mean, there's lots to go out there, but just to pick out this point, I mean, Cenk, one thing I agree with you on is on your disparagement of Bersala Smotrich and Ismail Ben-Gavir, both of whom are right-wing fanatics, far-right lunatics in Israel, and I hold no candle for them either.
00:15But it's certainly a complete mistake to say that they in any way define Israeli democracy, Israeli society, or indeed the Israeli government.
00:24I would rather that they didn't have influence over Netanyahu and his government, but there are lots of ministers in the government.
00:30They're not the prime minister. They're pretty fringe. They don't hold important positions in the government, and although they exert some influence, certainly they don't characterize Israel as a country, Israel as a government.
00:41I mean, I don't know whether you've been to Israel or not, but if you go there, it's a very liberal place.
00:45It's the only place in the Middle East that has gay pride. It's the only place where Muslims and Jews can live side by side, and Christians, of course, live side by side and flourish.
00:53It's not without its tensions, of course, but it's a very pluralistic, wonderful democracy, and it would only be a wonderful thing if other countries in the region took up a similar approach, a secular democracy that has a religious faith and equality for women.
