Diageo Ireland in partnership with its cream supplier Tirlán, have announced the return of the Diageo Baileys Champion Dairy Cow competition at the Virginia Show on 20th August 2025.

00:07Competition in collaboration with Tyrlawn. The success of our geographical indication Irish

00:13Cream is due in no small part to the quality of our dairy produce. This quality would not

00:18be achieved without the knowledge, dedication and hard work of our dairy farmers. This competition

00:24highlights and showcases the quality dairy animals that are produced throughout the

00:28island of Ireland. The continued success of this competition is a testament to the work

00:33of the organisers. I thank Diageo, Tyrlawn, the Virginia Show Committee for their commitment

00:38to this competition and to the Irish Holstein Friesian Society Holstein Northern Ireland for

00:43their role in promoting quality dairy. I would like to wish the very best of luck to all entrants

00:48in this 2025 Diageo Baileys Irish Champion Dairy Cow Competition. It's one of our longest running

00:53partnerships and brings together our supply chain partners, rural communities in a celebration

00:58of all that is great about rural Ireland. The Diageo Baileys Champion Cow supports our commitment

01:03to the sustainable development of the agri-food supply chain. Each year Diageo procures millions

01:08of litres of milk turned into Irish cream by our partners in Tyrlawn and Virginia and so

01:13the Diageo Baileys Cow is a reflection of Baileys Irish provenance and the great dairy farming

01:18tradition on the island. Since Baileys launched in 1974 Tyrlawn has proudly supplied the finest Irish

01:25cream to create the world's most loved liqueur. Our Virginia facility in County Cavan plays

01:30a key role, processing over 200 million metres of fresh local milk every year from 40,000 cows.

01:37The cream forms the heart of Baileys shipped all over the world and enjoyed all across the globe.

01:43I look forward to seeing this year's entries at the Virginia Show on the 20th of August.
