00:00 Morning, welcome everybody here to Abbey Yard and about the Glenab sale here today

00:05 Just before we do start a big thank you to you David and to Reece who have been heavily involved

00:10 in the

00:13 Gathering of the cattle and putting them together with Todd Smith. He's not here

00:16 He can't be in the interview, but we'd like to mention Scott and Todd and also thank them for their hard work behind the scenes

00:24 That's the guys that don't get mentioned, the guys that don't get the thanks

00:27 And Dave of course, congratulations on what was a great outcome for a changing market

00:33 We've seen the market tighten as everybody out there in the industry knows

00:38 It's got tighter in the last little while, but the quality of the Angus and Fused efforts here today

00:44 Certainly brought them home with the top pen getting up over a thousand

00:48 Good on those who bought them. They're great stock, they're local

00:53 Bred in the ticks, they're cattle that will perform and do well in all environments, particularly if they go into the clean country

01:00 One of the many pleasing parts of today

01:03 We had a buyer from up on the downs come back who have bought the Glenab Cattle Company cattle in the past

01:09 And he come back and bought the majority of the first row of steers. He's got confidence in the cattle

01:14 He knows how well they do. He certainly backed his judgment. He went away with a B-double here again today

01:21 So also we saw the good quality Brahman types of cattle

01:25 They met demand, certainly not as much as the flatback cattle

01:28 But for our first steer and heifer sale

01:31 We look forward to producing more and more of the future and getting

01:35 Getting them out and about into more parts of Queensland as we move forward. David, what was your thoughts on the sale today?

01:42 Yes, I'm David Gasolke. I'm a director of the Glenab Cattle Company

01:45 I was very happy today that my farm crew did a great job to assemble the cattle and Bartholomew & Co

01:51 did a great job yarding up the cattle. They

01:53 drafted into very even lines for the pens and I was delighted. It was a great start for our inaugural sale

01:59 Rhys Bodie here from Bartholomew & Co, the local livestock agent here

02:05 Really pleased with the lineup of the cattle here today again

02:09 And to our boys out the back that did a tremendous job yesterday

02:14 With help drafting and getting the sale ready prepped for a great sale day today. Thank you
