Srinagar (J&K), July 4, 2025 (ANI): Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan on ‘Krishi Gramin Vikas’ meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on July 04. He said, "... It is PM Narendra Modi's resolution that a Viksit J&K will lead to a Viksit Bharat. To fulfil that, I held meetings with the CM. Kashmir will become a horticulture hub, and that is why we have decided that a Clean Plant Centre will be established, for which farmers will need plants, and it is essential that the plants are of good quality... It will be built at a cost of Rs 150 crores. Private nurseries will also be subsidised... A tissue culture lab will be set up for saffron... A survey of 5 lakh people has been carried out under the PMAY, and they will be allotted houses after due verification..."
