A five-month pregnant woman has been sentenced to three years in jail at the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court in Melaka for robbing a woman of a gold bracelet worth RM12,000 in Bandar Baru Sungai Udang on May 28.

The woman's husband was sentenced to one year in jail for pawning the stolen bracelet.

Both were also handed an additional five-month jail term for stealing RM1,100 worth of items from a homestay in Kota Laksamana on April 26.

00:13Thirty-one-year-old Jasila Jamaruddin pleaded guilty to snatching the bracelet from the
00:1842-year-old victim outside an eatery in Bandarbaru, Sungai Udang on May 28.
00:25Charged under Section 392 of the Penal Code, her sentence will run from the date of her
00:30arrest on June 10.
00:32In separate proceedings, her husband, Muhammad Alif Aymanzaini, aged 24, was sentenced to
00:38one year in jail for receiving and pawning the stolen bracelet at a shop in Hululangat,
00:44Selangor, on the same day.
00:46The couple also received an additional five-month jail term each for stealing 1,100 ringgit worth
00:52of items from a homestay in Kota Laksamana on April 26.
00:57The theft occurred around 1 a.m. at a service apartment, and they were arrested on June 4.
