Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) has handed over closed-circuit camera (CCTV) footage to police to aid investigations in the case of a foreigner, suspected of being the victim of assault, who was found with injuries in the hospital’s HKL multi-storey car park on Sunday (June 29).

00:00Kuala Lumpur Hospital, HKL, has handed over CCTV footage to police to assist in investigations into a suspected assault involving a foreign man found injured on hospital grounds on June 29.
00:13In a statement on Friday, the Health Ministry quoted HKL Director Datuk Dr. Hari Krishna K. R. Nair as saying the incident occurred around 4.30 p.m.
00:25and a police report was lodged at the Dangwangi station the same day.
00:30The man received immediate treatment at HKL's Emergency and Trauma Department.
00:35A 41-second video of the incident, which went viral earlier this week, shows the wounded man in the hospital's multi-story car park.
00:43He then collapses before paramedics arrive to assist him.
00:47According to Dangwangi Police Chief ACP Sulizmi Effendi Sulaiman, initial checks revealed the man suffered a fractured right rib but no skull fracture.
00:56The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon.
01:04HKL said it would refrain from issuing further statements to avoid interfering with the ongoing police investigation.
