00:01Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:04A triathlon set to take place in Derbyshire this month has had to be cancelled due to low water levels in a reservoir.
00:10The event was due to take place on Sunday July 13th at Carsington Water Reservoir between Worksworth and Civerton in Derbyshire.
00:17Seven Trent and Pacesetter events have sadly had to announce that they've been forced to cancel the event due to low water levels in the ninth largest reservoir in England.
00:26The decision comes after the driest and sunniest spring on record, with Pacesetter events pointing out that Carsington has had just 39% of the usual rainfall between March and May.
00:36The organisers said,
00:38Looking at the current water levels and predicting what this might be on the event day, we feel the event would be unpleasant at best and potentially dangerous at worse.
00:46Therefore, this extremely difficult decision has had to be made.
00:51A brand new care home, Dale Brook, operated by Crystal Care Collection, is set to bring 60 much needed jobs to the region.
00:59Set to open in August, Dale Brook, which is located on Derby Road in Clay Cross, will offer all-inclusive residential, dementia and respite care for up to 66 people.
01:09As well as various roles in care and care management, Dale Brook is offering posts for kitchen and housekeeping staff, activities team members, maintenance personnel and administration.
01:20Recruitment is now underway and positions and more information is available on Indeed.com.
