Le président de la FIFA, Gianni Infantino, a exprimé sa profonde tristesse après le décès de Diogo Jota et de son frère André. Il a salué la mémoire du joueur portugais et annoncé qu'une minute de silence sera observée en leur honneur lors des quarts de finale de la Coupe du Monde des Clubs.
