00:00The Prime Minister has made it clear that he is totally in lockstep with the Chancellor.
00:05And I think when people criticise the Chancellor and make points about her,
00:09they should equally be making those points about the Prime Minister.
00:12It is he who presided over the farcical scenes we saw 24 hours ago
00:17when they gutted their welfare bill,
00:20ended up now with an unfunded commitment of multiple billions of pounds
00:24that are probably going to translate into tax increases in the autumn,
00:27which is going to be felt very hard by millions of people up and down the country.
00:32I felt very upset about what I saw yesterday sitting opposite Rachel in the House of Commons.
00:40I messaged her shortly afterwards just to say that I felt for her and I hoped that she was okay.
00:45And of course it's always distressing to see somebody in that situation, yeah.
