On the House floor, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) slammed the Big Beautiful Bill.

00:00Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

00:02I rise to oppose this vile Republican plunder of working families, seniors and veterans

00:06all so the richest Americans can be showered with even more wealth.

00:09This billionaire bailout would strip healthcare coverage from 17 million Americans, nearly

00:142 million in my state of Florida.

00:16It will push millions into crowded, costly emergency rooms and saddle them with medical

00:20debt.

00:21Trump's big, ugly bill also steals record food assistance from millions of kids, seniors

00:25and veterans.

00:26It makes cancer screenings and prenatal care harder to get by defunding Planned Parenthood.

00:31It cripples solar and wind projects and kills millions of clean, green manufacturing and

00:35construction jobs, all so the rich can get huge tax breaks.

00:39And no family is unscathed because this bill also blows up the national debt by $4 trillion,

00:44which drives up interest rates on car loans and mortgages and triggers billions in Medicare

00:49cuts cutting healthcare for our seniors.

00:51This bill makes life less affordable, more painful and instead of uplifting lives, it

00:55will end them.

00:57When history looks back on this bill, its legacy will be Trump lied and people died.
