In a press conference on July 2, 2025, Sikyong President, Central Tibetan Administration, Penpa Tsering spoke about talks with China. On being asked about having any interaction with the Chinese authorities, Penpa Tsering Sikyong, President of the Central Tibetan Administration, said, "...Right now, if you see all the policies and programs that the Chinese Givt have laid down in Tibet, it is all aimed at destroying the identity of the Tibetan people. Xi Jinping's government is targeting the Tibetan language and Tibetan religion, which is the basis of Tibetan identity..."

00:24The belief that if there are no nationalities, then there are no nationality issues.

00:35which are the basis of Tibetan identity.
00:37Tibetan language is one among the 15 oldest languages in this world.
00:41We have always said that we are proud of being a repository of one part of ancient Indian wisdom
00:47rooted in the values of ahimsa and karuna, nonviolence and compassion.
