Oregon Ducks Quarterback Dante Moore Addresses How Him And Dillon Gabriel Helped Push Each Other Last Season
Transcript
00:00finally with that Dante what else has to change if anything and I mean more in the sense of you
00:08talk about execution or certain things certainly but when Dylan's not here and this is looked at
00:13as between you and Austin and those other intangible things in a meeting room those
00:17talking to a team and addressing to a team that a backup may not feel as comfortable it's doing
00:22when Dylan's here what are those things that have to change that you've either already done or you
00:26plan to do how you do when what you do over spring break is different when you're the backup versus
00:31competing for the starting job yeah I think I did a really good job last year even though you know
00:35I never thought of myself as a backup coming into spring and things like that I've always wanted
00:39to push to see if I can you know push Dylan to better himself and he can push me to better myself
00:43like I said I came in I wasn't I wasn't a mouse I came in talking like I was gonna be the starting
00:47quarterback I mean we pushed each other in the weight room and the facility just every day
00:51but I feel like just overall in general I mean I understand what my job was last year
00:55um like I said Dylan did a really good job competing when there's a lot of football games but
00:59I came in the same way as I'm right now just communicating you know being the best I can be
01:03I didn't have the mindset of being a backup I just wanted to push myself every day better myself every
01:07day and Dylan did a good job for pushing me but as of right now I know what I need to do to better
01:12myself when it comes to extra work um just mentally physically and also spiritually so
01:16I've been doing really well and I'm glad to be where I'm at
