00:00Hi, I'm James Conneridge, the Service Directors for Infrastructure and Highways at Peterborough
00:04City Council. We're here today at the Lincoln Road Regeneration Scheme, which is a scheme
00:09that we're looking to improve the public realm along Lincoln Road. As we know, it's a very
00:13vibrant part of the city with great restaurants, shops and cafes, and we want to promote that cafe
00:19culture along the area. As part of that, we're improving the public realm with new paving.
00:24We're also making the paths wider so that the cafes can spill out and have seating better,
00:29and we're also making it a lot safer for walking and cycling by reducing the speed limit
00:34along the road to 20 mile an hour. As part of this, we're also looking at the parking provision
00:39to make it a safe place for people to park, but also safe for pedestrians when using the scheme.
00:45We're hoping to have this all completed by spring 2026, but anything we can do to bring this forward,
00:51we will do, obviously. We're also committed to giving you regular updates throughout the scheme
00:56so that you're fully kept up to date of how it's moving forward and that you'll know the exact date
01:01when it will be completed.
