00:00That is a proper sized mamba, that. Yes, look at that thing. It's huge. Check out all the old scars here.
00:13I reckon this snake is probably close to 20 years or so.
00:17So the black mamba is not actually a black snake. It's a brownish gray, but the inside of the mouth is pitch black.
00:25And that's what you see when a black mamba is cornered and feeling defensive, it'll open up and that's to scare you.
00:31It's not a sign that it's going to come and lunge for your throat. It's to say, go away, leave me alone.
00:36I'll hold it up for you guys to see you there.
00:40I don't usually get the shakes, but that one had me, that got the nerves, the adrenaline flowing, that one.
00:55Feel the weight of it. It's not a problem, but that's true.
01:01It's about two and a half. Yeah, heavy for her.
01:05Oh, that's nice. Yeah.
01:07Weirdly, the big mambas, the old mambas, I found a lot more relaxed, a lot more placid compared to the younger ones.
01:14They just struck at my hand.
01:19But they're more, they're almost more confident in their size, I found.
01:23Almost an arrogance. So it made no attempt to strike or bat.
01:27I pulled it out of the tree and onto the deck and pinned it down.
01:30In the end, it was quite easy. It went a lot better than I thought it would.
01:35In the end.
