00:07So the person's probably panicking because they've been sitting on the toilet
00:10and then all of a sudden they've had a visitor.
00:12Yeah, it's not great.

00:14She said it was pretty dark and skinny,
00:17so, jeez, that's a lot of snakes.
00:20A green tree, could be a whip snake,
00:23could be a dark little brown,
00:25could be a little red belly black.
00:27There are over 20 different snake species on the Sunshine Coast,
00:32ranging from the highly venomous red-bellied black snake
00:35to the harmless keelback and green tree snake.
00:38The breeding months of October and November
00:41are the most likely times for snakes to come into contact with humans
00:45as they venture into people's homes and backyards looking for a mate.

00:52Yep, it's a tree snake.
00:57The non-venomous green or common tree snake
01:00is found widespread throughout South East Queensland.
01:03Feeding on skinks, frogs and geckos,
01:06the green tree is one of the most common snake species
01:09to enter Sunshine Coast homes.

01:15These guys are one of the best snakes at getting inside
01:17because you can see how thin he is.
01:19See those yellow colours underneath
01:21and the lime greens and the blue flecks.
