U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday (June 27) called the Supreme Court's decision to restrict the ability of federal judges to grant broad legal relief over his executive orders a "monumental victory." - REUTERS
Transcript
00:00This morning the Supreme Court has delivered a monumental victory for the
00:04Constitution, the separation of powers, and the rule of law. This decision, and
00:10thanks to this decision, we can now promptly file to proceed with numerous
00:15policies that have been wrongly enjoined on a nationwide basis. And some of the
00:21cases we're talking about would be ending birthright citizenship, which now
00:26comes to the fore. That was meant for the babies of slaves. It wasn't meant for
00:31people trying to scam the system and come into the country on a vacation.
00:35Do you believe this ends the power of the lower court judges to stop your agenda?
00:39Do you see this as a full green light for your agenda going forward?
00:42Well, you'd have to really speak to the lawyers about that, but this is really also a
00:47decision based on common sense.
