USC Trojans Safety Bishop Fitzgerald Addresses The Younger Players On The Secondary
Transcript
00:00How's the transition into California?
00:02It's been great.
00:03You know, the strength staffs did a great job of getting me ready,
00:06and all the coaches did a really good job of just making me feel like family
00:09and welcoming me real fast.
00:11So, you know, California is great.
00:12You can't beat L.A., so it's been great here.
00:14Coach Riley said you're a really steady guy.
00:17It's like you've been here a while.
00:18How would you describe your presence on the field?
00:20You know, I'm just trying to be as vocal as I can my first few weeks here,
00:23so I'm just trying to make the guys feel that, you know,
00:26I know what I'm doing and I should be out there with them.
00:28And the coaches did a really good job of preparing me,
00:30making me feel comfortable enough on the field to do that.
00:34What have you seen from the younger guys in the secondary since you've come in?
00:37Obviously, as a leader, new to this program,
00:39but, you know, you've been around the game for a long time.
00:41What do you see from some of the younger guys in the secondary?
00:43Yeah, a lot of the younger guys, they want it.
00:45Like, they're hungry to come in and play and come in and learn,
00:48and I think that's the most important thing, just coming in, willing to learn,
00:50knowing you might not play your first year
00:51and willing to take advice from the older guys.
00:54So they did a really good job of that so far,
00:55and they've been doing a really good job.
00:58Okay, so let's see.
