00:00What does it mean to get the Carlos back and then it seems like the whole team's kind of embraced his son this last year.
00:05Has that been unique for you and how did you kind of reach a comfort level with him being around so much?
00:09It happened, the stuff with Lil D happened kind of just naturally.
00:13He was just out here at practice a lot and he became like everybody's adopted son almost.
00:19That's maybe the best way to say it.
00:21He's awesome.
00:22He runs around.
00:23Every player knows him.
00:24Every staff member knows him.
00:26He was at a lot of our Thursday practices last year.
00:28So we've got a chance to be around, kind of watch him grow up.
00:32He's great.
00:32Everybody loves him.
00:33Everybody knows him.
00:34He comes in.
00:35Every player knows his name.
00:36I mean, he's just kind of one of the guys now.
00:39So that's definitely a bonus in getting DeCarlos back.
00:43I'm glad that it worked out.
00:44He brought a lot to our team last year in terms of he made some big plays for us, but also just he's got a great demeanor, vibe, kind of energy about him that's infectious.
00:52And so to get that back, and I think for him a chance to grow, get a second year in the defense, continue to develop under Coach Landon, Coach Belk, and Coach Reed, it just made all the sense in the world.
01:04So it was a win-win and Lil D certainly was a great bonus to have him around for a little bit longer.
