Kochi (Kerala), June 27, 2025 (ANI): Addressing the controversy around the film JSK – Janaki vs. State of Kerala, FEFKA General Secretary B. Unnikrishnan said that the CBFC has clearly asked for the protagonist’s name, Janaki, to be changed.He said “"We are also not very clear about the issue regarding JSK, but with the conversation with the director, what we understand is that CBFC is very clear that the name of the protagonist, Janaki, needs to be changed into something else. According to the director, the film doesn't have any religious reference, so this decision is really disturbing and is very arbitrary... Collectively, we have some serious issues with such random changes of names. This has been happening for the last couple of years..."
