According to sources, the police had stopped a car for inspection. During the check, they identified one of the occupants as a wanted history-sheeter. In a bid to escape, the driver suddenly sped off. Acting quickly, the sub-inspector jumped onto the car’s bonnet, holding on tightly as the vehicle raced down the highway.
The shocking visuals drew widespread attention online, with many applauding the officer’s bravery. Fortunately, with the help of reinforcement teams, the vehicle was intercepted further down the road, and the accused was taken into custody.
The sub-inspector received minor injuries and is recovering well. Authorities have launched a detailed probe into the incident and are reviewing security protocols followed during the operation.
