00:00Now, many of the introductions to interviews you do and articles about you describe you as a non-Jewish, pro-Israeli activist.
00:07Why not an anti-Iranian regime activist?
00:11Yeah, I mean, that's how they choose to label me.
00:14I don't know. I can't control how they label me.
00:16But I think, you know, there are I think my interest in Israel is linked to the similarities that I've seen between what happened to Iran and what's happening to Israel now.
00:31You know, obviously, in 1979, the Mullahs came to Iran by way of a revolution, which is, you know, sometimes referred to more accurately as a coup.
00:40And that revolution brought in the proxies of the regime, including Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.
00:49So what I see happening in Israel now, where you have these sort of Islamist insurgent groups that are attacking Israel and at the same time claiming to be the victims, claiming to be acting in resistance, for example,
01:05that is something that is very similar to what we were seeing in Iran before 1979.
01:09Before 1979, you were seeing this crackdown of insurgent communists and Islamists.
01:16And these weren't people that just had a different opinion.
01:18These were people that were bombing Iran.
01:21These were people that were attempting assassinations.
