08:23I think there have been several attempts in the past to declutter, but we only managed to scrape the surface whenever we had the chance.

08:40That upbringing has definitely contributed to me, not wanting to part with anything.
08:47Probably one of the biggest motivators for clearing the house is just to give the children some space.
08:54Since I was young, I've always said to my mum,
08:56I wish you could just click your fingers and everything will be tidy.

11:58over everything and I just gave up with this house.

38:48In the kitchen, Rob's had a genius idea to upcycle the cot they no longer needed.
38:54Repurposing it into a pot and pan hanging rack.
38:59As I've drilled holes that are ten centimetres apart.
39:02These hooks will go inside them.
39:07And then our pot and pan will then hang from these hooks.
39:13And that is what I'll then use to suspend the cot railing.
39:22It's something that everybody can do, especially if you're a parent, because guaranteed every
39:27parent has probably had one of these at some point.
39:30I'm just in the girls' room.
39:35We've painted the whole room white, but we wanted to add a pop of colour.
39:39So the ceiling is this lovely blue and I'm just creating like a wave scallop effect around
39:45all the edges.
39:46So I'm using this circle cut out piece of card and basically drawing around the bottom and
39:52drawing around the top and just keeping it all in line and all symmetrical.
39:57Now I'm just going to fit it in with the blue paint.

41:33And I picked up this huge bag online for around £10.
41:38So I'm going to use this to make our fabric waterproof and airtight.
41:44Spread them out as evenly as you can.
41:47Then we go on with another layer of the non-stick baking paper.
41:54And then we're just going to iron this.
41:56Because as well as reusing old clothes, it's also a way that we can make our food last longer.
42:02And it really cuts down on our use of single use plastic.
42:05You know, cling film takes hundreds of years to break down.
42:08You know, it just ends up in landfill.
