Kolkata, June 26, 2025 (ANI): Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar said that West Bengal Mamata Banerjee was trying to ‘woo’ the Hindu voters in the state via Jagannath Rath Yatra. "Organising a Rath Yatra is not the job of any government. Jagannath Puri is different, and it happens there, but Mamata Banerjee is doing this to divide the Hindu vote bank... Mamata Banerjee thinks that as the Hindu votes are slipping away from her, her rule will end, and she can do anything to maintain it. This is all political; Mamata Banerjee has politicised Lord Jagannath... Our stand is that wherever the BJP is present, it will participate in the Rath Yatra", he said in a statement.
