00:00There's still a lot of misinformation going around about so-called drought declarations.

00:05Clearly South Australia is in drought. This was confirmed back in November last year when the

00:10first state government package for drought assistance was announced by Peter Malanaskas

00:14and me. But I am hearing a few people saying that their banks or even some councils are telling them

00:21they can't access hardship assistance supposedly because of no drought declaration.

00:26If you're in this situation you can download this from the PERSA website. This states that under the

00:31National Drought Agreement drought declarations don't happen and there is no assistance being

00:36withheld because of supposedly no drought declaration occurring. So download that, take it to your bank

00:42or take it to your council and make sure they understand the facts.
