00:00so the UFC's heavyweight championship is now undisputedly around the waist of Tom Aspinall

00:19which is probably where it should have been all along but it wasn't because we had to do

00:24this stupid song and dance with Jon Jones um this has been so very frustrating this whole situation

00:32it was cool Jon Jones moved up to heavyweight it's the thing we were talking about for a really

00:37really long time in his career he did it he did it successfully to the point where he was the

00:42champion in a virtuosa performance and then we waited and we waited and we waited and we got a

00:50Stipe Miocic fight that nobody wanted until we didn't and then we had to wait a year for the

00:56fight that again we didn't want and we waited and we waited and then he okay won that one now it's

01:04time Tom Aspinall in the time that you have been doing this Tom Aspinall has knocked out like 75

01:09people so give him the opportunity to be the undisputed champion and let's see now what he

01:15has in the same way Shogun did against you all those years ago let's see if this is the next one

01:21in heavyweight also in this time Francis Ngannou goes off and has mega fights in boxing and makes

01:28mucho mucho dinero and proves that he kind of won against the UFC so good for him um and then we we

01:36wait for the Aspinall fight and it never comes and we get a hint that maybe it's happening and then it

01:40doesn't and Jones is making all these different social media whatevers and then he retires it is

01:46just so annoying it held up the heavyweight division in a way that feels incredibly detrimental

01:55no fight against Aspinall at a massive time in his career no fight against Ngannou at a massive time

02:02in his career held up the heavyweight division for multiple years you think about if he would have

02:08just been fine fighting a Francis Ngannou fight who was in the promotion when this whole thing kind

02:13of started instead oh no uh Francis uh is just gonna wait it out and go and leave and we're never

02:19gonna hear from him again and oh hey Jon Jones will move up now and he fights Cyril Gaughan if he would

02:24have done this you get a superstar making knight potentially out of Ngannou or you add even more

02:29to the legacy of Jon Jones instead we don't do that and Ngannou is gone and we miss massive stretch

02:35of the prime of that heavyweight contender same thing with Aspinall who is out there proving that

02:42he is the best heavyweight in the world right now with the exception of the guy who holds the belt who

02:47is just kind of this Schrodinger's champion at some point where is he isn't he who's to say I don't know

02:53um so it's all very very frustrating with all of that thank you for a follow uh over there on um on

03:05it's all very frustrating around the Jon Jones thing with everything that is going on here and what

03:10when you see how it has impacted two very promising heavyweight fighters now Ngannou's fine and Aspinall

03:17will be but the fact that we have missed out on mega opportunities for mega stars and the promotion's just

03:26been fine with this that has been the most frustrating part of it is while Dana White is

03:31setting up slap fights and getting into boxing and politics and all these different things he's just

03:37like I you know Jon Jones no no Jon Jones is the greatest we're not gonna anyone who thinks that

03:41that guy's the greatest had never seen Jon Jones and this idiot uh like to for him to just bow down

03:47to all of this is oh mind-bogglingly frustrating when all of you had so many opportunities think of

03:54the star Aspinall would have been if we just would have got that fight over with right away think of

03:58the star Ngannou still would have been for this company if you just would have had that fight and

04:02moved it on and then you have an epic rivalry between those two Aspinall and Ngannou like the

04:06years and years of amazing heavyweight fights could have been happening if Jon Jones just wasn't a

04:14petulant child and if the UFC wasn't just the oh no it's fine he's just finding himself like just so

04:22annoying and so I I can't I'm annoyed for it and I'm not Tom Aspinall think of all of the the big

04:29time checks that he has missed out on in in this run and like look it takes a big moment away from

04:34him too he has deserved to be the undisputed champion for a while and if we were just gonna do

04:39this whole grab ass thing then the last time someone put a UFC championship belt on him we

04:44should have heard Buffer saying and new undisputed heavyweight champion instead he gets this interim

04:50thing that like a lot of people were taking seriously as the main championship but he still

04:55doesn't get that so you you just take away a moment from him and now instead of getting this

04:59really big moment he just finds out over social media I'm excited to see what he can do now without

05:05this cloud hanging over the head of the heavyweight division and we can start to pick up in this a

05:09little bit but there is no question that this is a giant opportunity wasted in the ultimate fighting

05:14championship we'll have a lot more on Jon Jones coming up as the week goes along looking at his

05:19legacy coming up on Wednesday
