00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Hewson-Betz and today we're going to be talking about Christmas.
00:05In fact, we're going to be going out onto the streets of Manchester and asking people if they've already started thinking about presents.
00:10Now that might seem early considering we're only just in June, but a third of people have started budgeting and a fifth have already started buying presents.
00:17Personally, I don't think about it. I usually just go out and buy everything on Christmas Eve.
00:23Not a great strategy. I wouldn't recommend it. But I think in like the cost of living crisis and just like how people's lives are now, it makes sense.
00:33You don't want to spend like 300 quid in one month. You want to space it out. So if you've got the planning for it, I don't see anything wrong with that.
00:41I budgeted actually. Budgeted, you know, my life was good.
00:45No, I'll sell clothes on Vintage and then that money is outside for Christmas. So you don't have to think about it when you get to Christmas.
00:53And then you can just like suddenly go, oh my God, you've got all that money there.
