Jiang Tao Hua (Meng Zi Yi), a princess from a formerly prominent family, finds herself forced into a political marriage with corrupt prime minister Shen Zai Ye (Liu Xue Yi). Initially, they keep each other at a distance, as Tao Hua strives to protect herself from potential threats and is unsure where her new husband's allegiances lie. However, despite outward appearances, Zai Ye secretly harbors deep loyalty for his people and wishes to create a better country. Realizing that their goals might be more aligned than they first realized, Tao Hua and Zai Ye begin to trust each other, building a deep bond despite the challenges against them.
