00:00Hello, Miriam at the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow, Thursday the 26th
00:05of June. Taking a look at tomorrow's weather map, we can see a large high pressure system
00:10becoming dominant across much of the continent, and that includes over the southeast states,
00:15where those cold fronts are finally moving out and off over the Tasman Sea.
00:19Through much of the east and south, we are going to see a very frosty start to the day tomorrow,
00:24and then generally mostly settled conditions following under the influence of that high.
00:29Elsewhere, we've got a weak low pressure trough brushing the southwest coast of Western Australia,
00:34but apart from bringing a few showers to those coastal areas, this system is mainly going to
00:38slip away to the south. Let's take a state-by-state look at tomorrow's forecast now, starting with
00:43Queensland. There is a chance of a few patchy frosts across inland parts of central and southern
00:50Queensland tomorrow, but we should clear to a dry and mostly sunny day. The exception will be across
00:55those far northern parts of the Cape York Peninsula, where we may see a few showers continuing.
01:00For Brisbane tomorrow, we are heading for a sunny top of 20 degrees.
01:05In New South Wales tomorrow, we are expecting widespread morning frosts in the cold air in the
01:11wake of those cold fronts that moved through over the past few days. We may see a little bit of snow
01:16about the ranges early on, but rain is easing back and clearing off, meaning that only the coastal fringe
01:22is really expecting showers tomorrow, with fairly dry conditions over the mainland. We will, however,
01:28see some fairly windy conditions continuing along the east coast, generating hazardous surf warnings for
01:34parts of the central coast in particular, and that is likely to persist through until the afternoon or so.
01:41For Sydney tomorrow, we are heading for a partly cloudy top of 16 degrees. After a very chilly start
01:46in Canberra, we're heading for a partly cloudy top of 11 degrees. Widespread morning frosts across inland
01:53Victoria tomorrow, then clearing to a settled and mostly sunny day in the north. We will see a little
01:59bit more cloud lingering across southern Victoria, with a few showers moving through as well, more frequent
02:05through Gippsland. Those will be easing back as the day goes on, however, and that high pressure
02:11system moves in from the west. For Melbourne, we are looking at a shower or two on the forecast for
02:15tomorrow and a chilly top of 13 degrees. In Tasmania tomorrow, the chance of morning frost, mainly across
02:23central and northeastern parts of the state. It'll be a little bit too cloudy through the west and south,
02:29and we may see a few showers lingering in those areas too, including some snow earlier on in the
02:35day. For Hobart tomorrow, though, we are looking at a mostly dry day, partly cloudy and a top of 14
02:40degrees. Taking a look at South Australia now, we could see some morning fogs or frosts across parts of
02:48southern South Australia, with those frosts more likely through the southeast. Then we'll see partly
02:53cloudy conditions through the day across those southern districts, with a slight chance of a few light
02:58showers moving through. Further inland, it'll be sunnier and more settled. For Adelaide tomorrow,
03:04we are looking at a cloudy day and a top of 15 degrees. Widespread morning frosts are on the forecast
03:11for much of the southwest land division of Western Australia tomorrow. We may see those frosts extending
03:16to parts of the southern interior district, as well as the goldfields and southern parts of the
03:21Gascoyne as well. We will see partly cloudy conditions across the southwest coast during the
03:26day as that low pressure trough moves through. We may see some showers passing by as well, but they
03:31won't extend very far up the coast. Perth is heading for a sunny day, a dry day and a top of 20 degrees,
03:37and that can be said for all areas to the north of Perth. We're expecting a much more settled Thursday to come.
03:43For the Northern Territory, a cool, dry south-easterly surge is moving through, with some fairly windy
03:51conditions through those central parts of the Territory. The chance of morning frost across parts
03:55of the south, then clearing to a dry and mostly sunny day. For most areas, except for those eastern
04:01parts of the top end where we may see a little bit more cloud and the slight chance of a shower. For Darwin
04:06though, it will be a sunny day with a top of 32 degrees. Now you can find the detailed forecast for your
04:12area via the Bureau's website, the BOM Weather app and via our social media.
