- 6/24/2025
Police stopped and prevented the march from happening.
Ignorant drummers rendered a few speeches useless, resulting in a few discarded clips (audio was completely drowned out by the chants and drumming, no amount of correcting the EQ did anything either).
For the brief timelapse, a musical composition over the original audio is my own.

00:03:03Shame!
00:03:04I let note we ask you all to please to set any entities aside.
00:03:11We are not here to arbitrate and decide on which flag is the correct flag.
00:03:18We will not be interfering with this.
00:03:20We are here to build a coalition, a mass movement that demonstrates the ruling class
00:03:27and that people approve this illegal law anymore.
00:03:34Now we will be beginning our program by introducing our first speaker.
00:03:45And our first speaker is Eve Singh.
00:03:49Eve is the one who is a flag defender and a leading organizer in the movement
00:03:56urging RBC to digest the most of gasoline in the fossil fuel industry.
00:04:03Eve is the daughter of Mason Royce.
00:04:07Eve is the daughter of Chief Booth, one of the Suicide and Hereditary Chiefs.
00:04:17And in 2020, Eve was at convention, checkpoint-trick the RCMP's militarized
00:04:24and engaging a non-seated territory, where dozens of unharmed-edged people
00:04:30were arrested at some point, including many elders and women.
00:04:36Shane!
00:04:38Eve has organized an international delegation of indigenous government
00:04:45to RBC's annual general meeting for the past three years,
00:04:51which has contributed to politics and to make greater outreach to the country
00:04:57as a citizen's rights and to relate to the southern people of their lives.
00:05:03We hope that Eve was Stephen for want, and she cared for her too little children.
00:05:13Eve asks them for us, we hope that Eve is good.
00:05:16Jake такой teammate Deputy on our human-owned backgrounds,
00:05:19Amen, видите, and so on the rightKpoise 对.
00:05:54So right now, we're going to be here to be a very true show for indigenous people of Turtle Island to rise and get together and fly!
00:06:13All across the board, all across the world, we're going to raise our eyes up against these colonial forces and we're going to fight, fight, fight!
00:06:34We are talking about them, and we are stronger together! We are stronger together!
00:06:48We are stronger together!
00:06:52From Canada to its feet!
00:06:57We are going to walk around in five times, because they're going to fucking fight that!
00:07:09And now, I win three times, guys!
00:07:13Three times, guys!
00:07:16Yeah!
00:07:20We are stronger together!
00:07:33We are stronger each and against this whole planet!
00:07:40We saw another new state!
00:07:46We can survive, because once we think, we can change the earth.
00:07:54We want to best track all these ancient trees.
00:07:58It's an extraction project.
00:08:01That's what they're doing to help steal these plants,
00:08:05and build these resources, or extract these resources,
00:08:10and how to track us to death.
00:08:13Change! Change!
00:08:16Change!
00:08:17And I'm going to fight until my last dress.
00:08:22I'm done with my family.
00:08:32We want to get together.
00:08:34We want to show up.
00:08:35We want to show up.
00:08:36We want to show up.
00:08:37We want to show up.
00:08:38We want to show up.
00:08:39We want to show up.
00:08:40We want to show up.
00:08:41We want to show up.
00:08:42We want to show up.
00:08:43We want to make some noise.
00:10:23Israel has been on a genocidal rampage throughout the region.
00:10:27It is the penultimate destabilizing force in the Middle East.
00:10:31And yet somehow, what we hear from our leaders and our media is that any nation or people that opposes Israel's genocidal rampage is the aggressor.
00:10:41Israel is the only entity in the region with nuclear weapons.
00:10:47Israel refuses inspection of its nuclear armaments.
00:10:51Israel refuses to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
00:10:55Meanwhile, there is no evidence that Iran possesses nuclear weapons.
00:10:59Iran has been a signatory of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty since 1968.
00:11:04Its nuclear program has been under regular inspection under the IAEA.
00:11:09The Iranian government even willingly joined a nuclear deal, the GCPOA, with the United States.
00:11:15It was the United States who ripped up and walked away from this agreement.
00:11:19In every way, Iran has demonstrated its willingness to engage in negotiations on nuclear power, despite being under consistent threat of war by Israel and sanctions by the United States that starve our people.
00:11:35And yet today, it is Iran, not Israel, that is being framed as a global boogeyman, as an out-of-control state with nuclear weapons, when there is not a link of evidence to prove that that is the case.
00:11:53We know that our political and media class are not arbiters of justice.
00:11:57They use the language of human rights and peace when their record shows a complete disregard for human rights and peace.
00:12:05If the Canadian government cared about human rights, it would not have armed Saudi Arabia to drop bombs on the Yemeni people.
00:12:12If the Canadian government cared about human rights, it would not be accused of countless human rights violations through its mining industry in West Africa and Latin America.
00:12:23If the Canadian government cared about human rights, it would not sanction Iran to the point of blocking essential medical goods from entering the country.
00:12:32This is not about human rights, this is not about human rights, and it is not about nuclear weapons.
00:12:39Yesterday, the United States bombed Iran.
00:12:43Many people say this was a unilateral attack.
00:12:47Yet today, the Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney, announced his full support of this attack.
00:12:52Mark Carney said that Iran's nuclear program is, quote, a grave threat to the international security.
00:13:04Again, it is Iran which is being marked as a threat to international security.
00:13:09Not Israel, which has been committing a full-scale genocide of Palestinians and which has unprovokedly bombed countless countries in the region.
00:13:17Just last week, Prime Minister Mark Carney and the rest of the G7 met in Banff, Alberta.
00:13:28As Israel was continuing its bombardment of Iran, the German Chancellor expressed gratitude to Israel.
00:13:34He said Israel is, quote, doing the dirty work for all of us.
00:13:37Who is this us?
00:13:43Our leaders keep referring to.
00:13:45The German Chancellor was speaking on behalf of the Western world.
00:13:49The G7 thinks they are the policemen of the world.
00:13:52That they can dictate what other nations do if they fall out of line with their profit-driven interests.
00:13:57This is not about human rights, this is about resource extraction.
00:14:01It is about stealing our land, stealing our oil.
00:14:03What imperialism seeks is not human rights nor peace, but to put new regimes of power that
00:14:14will be friendly to Israel, that will allow Israel to continue its genocide, and it will
00:14:19allow the theft of the region's resources.
00:14:22Our obligation is to refute this expansion, to refute imperialism's lies, to refute our government
00:14:29arming and supporting this violence.
00:14:31Our obligation is to say no to war.
00:14:34The year of what we are going through now is nothing.
00:15:03compared to what the people of Gaza have faced for almost 19 months.
00:15:09It is nothing compared to what the people in Iran are facing right now.
00:15:15It is nothing compared to the siege, displacement, occupation, and destruction
00:15:22of the global self at the hands of these monsters
00:15:26that sit in these embassies that we are in front of right now.
00:15:30Shame!
00:15:30So let us make our voices high.
00:15:36Let us keep our energy high
00:15:38and make our opposition to this genocidal war loud and clear.
00:15:49Our next speaker is Ali Mallah.
00:15:54Ali is a respected community member and long-term organizer
00:15:58with a lifetime commitment working towards the liberation of Palestine and the entire Arab world.
00:16:04Let us make some noise for Ali Mallah.
00:16:11Brothers, sisters, friends, and comrade,
00:16:16look at what democracy looks like here in the streets of Toronto.
00:16:22Look at what is going on in the U.S. with visible minorities, with white migrants, and with other people from other backgrounds.
00:16:40Our gathering has been peaceful since we started getting together.
00:16:49And to the shame of the Toronto police,
00:16:53squandering and wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars for nothing but to intimidate us,
00:17:01we will not be intimidated.
00:17:04We will not be intimidated at all.
00:17:09We are the people of peace, we are the people of justice, and we have no fear whatsoever in dating the people for occupation, for aggression, and for war.
00:17:28We will not be intimidated, and we have no fear, but to be guilty at all.
00:17:31We will not be intimidated by that.
00:17:32We will not be intimidated by that.
00:17:34We will have thought, after the departure of Mr. Selci,
00:17:39to go to Justice Goudouw.
00:17:42That the new prime minister will be a little bit smarter.
00:17:46Unfortunately, he is not.
00:17:48We made a statement about Iran and nuclear facilities, but we challenged him to join,
00:18:02combine the millions and millions of people around the globe who are calling for ban on
00:18:11nuclear war machines and weapons of mass destruction, not just singling out Iran.
00:18:26Almost 25 years ago, with the war in Afghanistan, and with the war in Iraq, and the ongoing war
00:18:36in Palestine and Gaza, and later on, the war in Lebanon.
00:18:41We have been proven right because war is nothing good for anyone but the filthy rich,
00:18:54the filthy corporations, the black suckers who sank the life out of people from Afghanistan,
00:19:03Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine are moving in Gaza, and now Iran.
00:19:14What war is going on? What war is good for? Absolutely nothing.
00:19:23My friends, the people of Iran are the right people to decide what type of system they want to have.
00:19:45It's not for stupid laborators, low-life agents of foreign entities.
00:19:56For the people who don't know, Iran, the Republic Islamic of Iran, or Milad Faris,
00:20:05Iran is a country, land, and people so rich in civilization, in culture, in science.
00:20:15Over 5,000 years!
00:20:20It's not up to a secular state less than 200 years, whether the U.S., or Canada, or others,
00:20:30to decide what is good for Iran.
00:20:43So the war started by the illegal zayahid state of Iran,
00:20:49and now being handed by the killing machine of the Saddam, the White House.
00:21:02They are so stupid.
00:21:04Trust me.
00:21:06They are so stupid.
00:21:08Trust me.
00:21:09The war in all the people at Palestine.
00:21:12They thought, since 1948 they Gzmat, the Palestinian people to surrender.
00:21:19But never, ever, the Palestinian people will ever surrender.
00:21:33The same for the Lebanese.
00:21:34We are people who submit only to God, and we don't submit to anybody else.
00:21:46My brothers and sisters, friends and comrades, we are here from all walks of life.
00:21:59Declare unconditional support and solidarity with the brothers and sisters in Iran, in Gaza and Palestine, in Lebanon, and any other oppressed country.
00:22:17And we are willing to face the aggressors, the oppressors, and we will fear nothing.
00:22:26Because anyone, anyone who doesn't feel the pain and suffering of others is not worthy to be called a human.
00:22:38And certainly that crazy asshole in the White House is not a decent human.
00:22:48They know his history with a fraud, money fraud, buying sex, doing all kinds of this.
00:22:54The world will be a much better place by not having him around as a president.
00:23:02So we call on the American people to continue their rallies and their demonstrations to get rid of their little dictator.
00:23:12I know it's hard, and I can talk for ages, but I want to appeal to the right and fire of Labour, and to other community organizations and groups.
00:23:30Let's link all together.
00:23:34Let's have more people together.
00:23:38We are one in the struggle.
00:23:40Whether it's for workers' rights, for housing, for education, for better jobs, and of course for no more.
00:23:50Those bloodsuckers, the tyros and the bosses of military infrastructure are sucking the life and the blood of the workers and of the people just to fill more their dirty bank account.
00:24:12Let's help them.
00:24:16Be here, Carly.
00:24:22Karen, invest the life in housing, education, jobs, no war.
00:24:25No more.
00:24:26No more.
00:24:31Carly, you might bring you to the politics.
00:24:34We are willing to help you get educated.
00:24:38And if you are not sure about what Canadians want, I dare you, put it to the referendum.
00:24:47Ask Canadians if they support war.
00:24:52Ask Canadians if they support nuclear purification.
00:24:57And ask Canadians if they stand with the people of Palestine and Gaza
00:25:03and with the oppressed and not the oppressors.
00:25:06And let's hear what Canadians have to say.
00:25:09And what do we say?
00:25:11No war. No war. No war.
00:25:16The president, who is the president.
00:25:19Yes, make some noise for the labour movement.
00:25:26Carolyn has been president of the 14,000 member strong Steelworkers Toronto Area Council.
00:25:33Sunset 2004. Make some noise.
00:25:41Carolyn is also president of her own local 8300.
00:25:46Carolyn is an active community member and a leader in the labour and feminist movement.
00:25:52Make some noise for Carolyn Egan.
00:25:58Thank you very much.
00:26:00Thank you very much.
00:26:02And I'm honored to be here today with you.
00:26:04And Ali Mullah, when he was up there, said,
00:26:06rank and follow the trade union movement.
00:26:08Come and join arms.
00:26:09But we did come.
00:26:10We had a teach-in over at the Seal Hall.
00:26:12We brought, I like it was 260 people registered for that teach-in.
00:26:16We marched over.
00:26:17And the Palestinian Youth Movement brought us in, saying the workers united will never be defeated.
00:26:23And I think that is exactly what I was trying to say today.
00:26:29I have been on these streets a very long time, as my bio, um, I took forward here.
00:26:35And I remember very well the anti-war movements, against the Iraq war, against the war in Afghanistan.
00:26:42And way before that, these streets and that U.S. consulate saw thousands, tens of thousands in the streets against the Vietnam War.
00:26:51And 80,000 young American deserters and war resistors came up because they will not be complicit in the invasion of a small peasant nation in Asia.
00:27:00And you know what?
00:27:02The strongest imperialist nation in the world, at that time, was defeated by the courage, the persistence, and the resistance of the Vietnamese people.
00:27:17Along with, along with an international anti-war movement.
00:27:22And I will tell you, there were very, very few Vietnamese communities around the world at that time.
00:27:28It's different today.
00:27:29And there was an international war movement because people understood the critical nature of colonialism, of imperialism,
00:27:36and that they had to stand up in the streets, at their universities, in their workplaces, and in parliament, and say no to an unjust war.
00:27:48We are following that example today.
00:27:50As we look at history, we know, we know that if we stand together with the people fighting occupation,
00:27:56fighting for their liberation, fighting for their liberation, with a strong international anti-war movement,
00:28:01this can be won.
00:28:03And this is the lesson we are bringing to the streets of Toronto today.
00:28:06I remember, I remember, we were in the streets, 80,000 of us were in the streets, and we had a rally right down there across from the U.S. Consulate.
00:28:19And in Montreal, there were 250,000, and tens of thousands in cities across this country.
00:28:26And we were so strong, we were so vocal, we were in such solidarity, even though we made a difference amongst us,
00:28:32we stopped Jean Chrétien, who was then the Liberal Prime Minister of Canada, from participating,
00:28:39having Canada actively participate in the war against Iraq.
00:28:44And that's what we have to do.
00:28:49We have to, we have to stop the actions of this government in any way being complicit
00:28:55and what we see happening in Gaza, what we see with the bombing of Iran.
00:28:59And we make it, we have to make it perfectly clear, there has to be a total arms embargo to the State of Israel.
00:29:06A total arms embargo.
00:29:10I saw here today many trade unions, presidents of new locals, many steel workers coming from field halls,
00:29:18and presidents of small locals, large locals, lots and lots of rank and file,
00:29:22who want to learn how to build the movement in their workplaces, build the movement in the streets,
00:29:28and make sure that we still are in the process of building a strong, strong movement.
00:29:34If you look at what happened yesterday with the horrific bombing in Iran,
00:29:39and you see across the Middle East, whether it be in Lebanon, or Qatar, in Yemen,
00:29:45so many countries, in London, there was a huge demonstration before the bombing,
00:29:49there was another demonstration today.
00:29:52The people are reacting, the workers are reacting, and we have to stay strong, strong, strong.
00:29:57We have to stay strong.
00:29:58And if we can stay strong in solidarity with the people of the Middle East,
00:30:02we say, U.S., out of the Middle East, we have to have free, free Gaza.
00:30:07And when I say that we supported the anti-war movement in countries around the world,
00:30:14we were against the war in Iraq, we were against the war in Afghanistan,
00:30:17that's not because we supported Saddam Hussein.
00:30:20No, it was not.
00:30:21It was not because we supported the Taliban in Afghanistan.
00:30:25That was not the reason why.
00:30:26It is because we are here because it is up to the people of Iran,
00:30:31it is up to the people of Gaza to determine their own future.
00:30:38And we will not allow war bombers like Trump, Netanyahu, and anyone else
00:30:44to feel that it is their right to determine the future of these peoples.
00:30:48We will not stand apart, we will stand in solidarity with them.
00:30:51And so as everyone is saying, free, free Palestine, stop the bombing of Iran.
00:30:56Free, free Palestine, stop the bombing of Iran.
00:30:58Free, free Palestine, stop the bombing of Iran.
00:31:00We said, look at our numbers.
00:31:04Today we came with thousands and thousands.
00:31:07We have been going out and protesting in thousands for not just 20 months, not just for 77 years.
00:31:23Since the start, since the start of Zionism in Palestine.
00:31:36We have been protesting for Palestine, for indigenous, for Iran, and for all our struggles.
00:31:46And we need to be united.
00:31:53Protesting is a constitutional right for all of us.
00:32:00It's a fundamental human right for everyone of you.
00:32:05TPS, the police, are taking away that right from you.
00:32:20They gave it to the Zionists who were counter-protesting against us, and they let them march.
00:32:30But they are not letting us march, because they want to dictate how we march, and where we go, and what we do, and what we say.
00:32:46I know, we have been standing in the heat for a couple of hours, but we will not, we will not let TPS, who's working with the occupation in Palestine, who's complicit, who's complicit in the genocide, who's complicit in colonizing Churchill Island, who's complicit in supporting and giving diplomatic and financial
00:33:15cover to Israel and to all its allies.
00:33:24We will not let them dictate that.
00:33:28Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
00:33:40We want to keep our energy high.
00:33:44We are blocking a major intersection in Toronto, one of the largest cities in the world.
00:33:53And today, it's proof that these institutions are not standing with us.
00:34:05So what do we have to do?
00:34:10We have to stand up with each other.
00:34:19There is no alternative but us standing up together and fighting every injustice in this world.
00:34:28The people united win.
00:34:38We will give another update in five minutes.
00:34:40What are we going to do?
00:34:41But we need to keep our energy high.
00:34:43Because today is not the last day we protest.
00:34:46We are going to come again, and again, and again.
00:34:49a few hundred Iranian civilians killed by the Zionist entity.
00:35:03Church!
00:35:04Thett.
00:35:07Every single one of these civilians is a martyr and a victim of the U.S. Zionist kingdom of the United States.
00:35:14U.S. Zionists, with the support of our government, shave!
00:35:24And every day, more and more Palestinians in Gaza are being slaughtered and starved
00:35:31to death, shave!
00:35:36Every single day, Palestinians in the West Bank are being displaced, kicked out of their
00:35:43homes and subjected to endless humiliation and imprisonment, shave!
00:35:53So let us keep our energy high.
00:35:55We know that it's a very hot day, but we must continue to unite around our demands and hear
00:36:02from different perspectives in our movement, because it is only, it is only through hearing
00:36:08each other and building with each other.
00:36:11Will we ever build a mass movement that will topple this terrorist regime?
00:36:17Free!
00:36:18Free!
00:36:19Free Palestine!
00:36:20Free!
00:36:21Ryan
00:36:27Station
00:36:28He has come here today all the way from New York City to represent the real Jewish people
00:36:38who are truly, truly following their commandments and engaging in their faith in the way that
00:36:47that they believe is moral and right.
00:36:50So make some noise for Rabbi Feldman.
00:37:00Thank you very much.
00:37:02The people united will never be the...
00:37:06We are gathered here today, people from all backgrounds,
00:37:11to condemn this recent Zionist attack on Iran.
00:37:20An unprovoked attack where so many innocent civilians,
00:37:25men, women and children, infrastructure has been attacked and brutalized.
00:37:34All of this is happening while we are witnessing over 20 months
00:37:40of genocide in Gaza.
00:37:43Shame!
00:37:46After 77 years of brutal illegal occupation.
00:37:52Shame!
00:37:54We as Jewish people, we are embarrassed when all of this is being done,
00:37:59supposedly in our name,
00:38:01and our religion is being misused to justify all these crimes.
00:38:07Shame!
00:38:09Shame!
00:38:11Mind you, this misrepresentation of our people and our religion
00:38:16is done on purpose,
00:38:18because they want to blame whoever criticizes it as anti-Semitic shame.
00:38:26Shame!
00:38:27Shame!
00:38:28Shame!
00:38:29Shame!
00:38:30Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism.
00:38:31The movement of Zionism, the state of Israel, or its actions in no way represents world
00:38:48Jewry or is condoned in the Jewish religion.
00:38:51Killing, stealing, depressing an entire people is not only criminal according to international law.
00:39:04These are violations of Judaism.
00:39:08Yes!
00:39:09We need to remember the difference between Judaism and Zionism.
00:39:17Judaism is a religion, a religion only.
00:39:20The belief in Almighty God and the practice of His commandments.
00:39:24No politics.
00:39:25No nationalism.
00:39:26No nationalism.
00:39:27Versus the movement of Zionism, which is about nationalism.
00:39:31Turning their back to God and His religion.
00:39:35Turning their back to the religion of their own grandparents.
00:39:38Shame!
00:39:39Shame!
00:39:40In the Book of Psalms, King David of Blessed Memory refers to the evil nations, as Kruvo Isiach Putin.
00:39:52They desire war.
00:39:55This is what we are seeing with the movement of Zionism.
00:40:00They are continuously desiring war.
00:40:04war. In our case today, this war on Iran, this is because they want to divert world
00:40:13attention from the crimes they are committing in Gaza and Palestine. They desire war. Every
00:40:25few years they need a war in order to implant fear and panic into Jewish people or non-Jews
00:40:36in order to have them all express solidarity and support the supposed safety of the Jewish
00:40:45people. The state of Israel is not a self-defense. The state of Israel is offensive from the day
00:40:58it started. Jewish people didn't need a security, a self-defense in Palestine or in Iran.
00:41:15Jewish people lived in peace in Palestine, a small minority of Jews amongst the vast majority
00:41:23of Muslims. We were respected and protected before the invention of Zionism. It was in the 1920s
00:41:36when the movement of Zionism came in to oppress the indigenous Palestinian people. At that
00:41:43time all this conflict started. The same is the case in Iran to the present day. Jewish
00:41:53people, and I'm telling you personal experience which I witnessed in numerous visits in Iran
00:42:00in the recent two decades. Jewish people, even today, have no problem in Iran. They have flourishing,
00:42:09functioning synagogues, religious institutions. I met rabbis and scholars studying toner.
00:42:18religious people, religious people, going out on the streets with their yarmulke and religious
00:42:22head covering, and they have no problem. It is the movement of Zionism that needs enemies.
00:42:35They create enemies in order to gain support to their wicked criminal movement.
00:42:42We need to realize, we need to understand, when we are concerned about a better future for
00:42:54all of us, we must know what is the root cause to all this bloodshed, all this endless cycle
00:43:04of bloodshed where everyone suffers. It is not the difference of religion. We have differences
00:43:09of religions for the longest time, and we lived in peace, and we could manage to respect each
00:43:16other. It is the movement of Zionism which has destroyed the peace in Palestine. It is the
00:43:29crimes of Israel which is fueling this endless cycle of bloodshed, and it is the movement
00:43:36of Zionism, unfortunately causing so much destruction in Iran to everyone involved.
00:43:48We need an end to this movement of Zionism. We hope that this ends in its entirety. We hope
00:43:55that this ends peacefully, with no more suffering of anyone. We had enough, enough suffering,
00:44:02enough loss of life, enough catastrophe, catastrophe for everyone. We need a better future, and we
00:44:11all have to gather, together, join forces, and end this for the sake of everyone involved.
00:44:26To sing it, chant one big loud voice. What are we going to say to the Zionists?
00:44:35They say they are indigenous, but they came home from Europe. Live for the state alone. Live for
00:44:43the state alone. Live for the state alone. And go back to Europe. They say they are indigenous.
00:44:49They say they are indigenous.
00:44:51For this program, Asude Novin. Asude is a renowned community member and organizer. She has a Bachelor
00:44:56of Science in Industrial Engineering from Sharif Technical University in Tehran. She studied
00:45:01Informatics at the Institute National Polytechnique, or it's French name, de Grenoble in France.
00:45:08She has a diploma in Interior Decoration and Design from Stanford Institute in Canada, and she's
00:45:21also a visual artist working in painting and sculpture. She immigrated to Canada from Iran in
00:45:271995 and has been running her own small business. She's also the chair of the Iranian-Canadian Congress
00:45:33Cultural Committee. Give it up for Asude.
00:45:40Hello. I would like to acknowledge that this land is located in the traditional territory of
00:45:48the Huron Bendak, the Seneca, and the Mississauga of the Credit. The Iranian-Canadian Congress strongly
00:45:58condemned the unprovoked and brutal attack by the rogue state of Israel against Iran, as
00:46:07well as its relentless and ongoing assault on Palestine. We believe these attacks are part
00:46:23of a broader pattern of over seven decades of unjust brutality beginning with the Nakba and rooted
00:46:33in 19th century European settler colonial projects. We are deeply dismayed that the Canadian government
00:46:46continue to ignore international law while offering support to Prime Minister Netanyahu and his
00:46:56genocidal regime currently under investigation by the International Criminal Court for Crime Against Humanity.
00:47:11Unlike Israel, Iran is a signatory of NPT and has adhered to IAEA regulation.
00:47:21Israel, by contrast, is not signatory and possesses undeclared nuclear weapons.
00:47:29Israel's bombing of Iranian nuclear sites is a clear violation of international law.
00:47:47At its core, Israel is a settler colonial state established through the occupation of Palestine.
00:47:56Israel, since its inception, it has been in continuous conflict with its neighbors.
00:48:03Today, it is carrying out a full-scale genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
00:48:15While spreading terror throughout the region, Iran is simply its largest target.
00:48:28The International Court of Justice, the highest legal body in the world, has stated that Israel's occupation of Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem, is unlawful.
00:48:44Israel poses an existential threat to peace and stability across the globe.
00:48:57Israel!
00:48:58Israel!
00:48:59Israel!
00:49:00Israel!
00:49:01Israel!
00:49:02Despite all of this, Mr. Carney expresses concern about Iran's peaceful nuclear program and its defensive missile capability.
00:49:14Israel!
00:49:15Israel!
00:49:16Israel!
00:49:17Israel!
00:49:18The international community must respect the territorial integrity of Iran and its national sovereignty.
00:49:27Israel!
00:49:28Israel!
00:49:29Israel!
00:49:30Israel!
00:49:31Israel!
00:49:32Israel!
00:49:33Israel!
00:49:34Israel!
00:49:35Israel!
00:49:36Israel!
00:49:37Israel!
00:49:38Israel!
00:49:39Israel!
00:49:40Israel!
00:49:41Israel!
00:49:42Israel!
00:49:43Israel!
00:49:44Israel!
00:49:45Israel!
00:49:46Israel!
00:49:47Israel!
00:49:48Israel!
00:49:49Israel!
00:49:50Israel!
00:49:51Israel!
00:49:52Israel!
00:49:53Israel!
00:49:54Israel!
00:49:55money to fund military supplies for Israel, clearly condemned Israel and
00:50:05United States unprovoked attacks on Iran, reopen the Iranian embassy in Ottawa,
00:50:16lift sanctions against Iran. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
00:50:31No justice. No peace. No justice.
00:50:36So, as you might have seen here today, there exists a wide range of political views in Iranian society.
00:50:43However, any person of conscience must come out and condemn this attack by the Zionist war machine against our people.
00:50:54Many of those completely opposed to the Iranian government are clear-eyed on this issue,
00:51:00calling out the criminal Netanyahu's false promises of liberation for what it is, a lie, a sham, and a farce.
00:51:09The future of Iran is for the Iranian masses to decide alone, not foreign imperialists.
00:51:19This is laid out there in the letter by four political prisoners,
00:51:27Golroch Irayi, Reihana Ansari, Sakine Parvane, and Vereshe Moradi, which I will now read.
00:51:34The United States was born through massacre and crime, seized ownership through occupation,
00:51:46and throughout its existence turned the Middle East into a battlefield of endless wars through aggression and genocide.
00:51:52Israel, as a U.S. military outpost in the Middle East, and as a representative of global superpowers after World War II rose to power in the region.
00:52:04From the very beginning, in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and recently through the genocide in Gaza,
00:52:10it has been displayed, it has displayed its brutality throughout the world.
00:52:19In none of these countries was there a nuclear bomb ever found, nor were there any real efforts towards uranium enrichment.
00:52:28Genocide needs no justification, but Western democracy, desperate to preserve its so-called image as a force for good,
00:52:39constantly sneaks excuses to legitimize its ongoing brutality around the world.
00:52:44The identities of America and the fascist Israeli regime are rooted in aggression and child-killing.
00:52:54Wherever they have turned their gaze, they have brought only war and destruction.
00:53:01Our liberation, the liberation of the people of Iran from the ruling dictatorship,
00:53:06is only possible through the mobilization of social forces and by relying on social forces,
00:53:13not by placing our hopes in foreign powers.
00:53:22Traitors to Iran, traitors to the people of the Middle East,
00:53:25traitors to the years of people's struggle for freedom against oppression.
00:53:29Know this, your betrayal and disgrace will be recorded in the memory of Iranian people and in history.
00:53:41Future generations will remember with shame those who danced on the graves of the defenseless.
00:53:50Stop bombing Iran now!
00:53:52We know that the police have been trying to prevent us from taking these streets,
00:53:59and yet, here we are!
00:54:02Here we are!
00:54:06They can try to suppress our right to speak our truth.
00:54:11They can try to criminalize us.
00:54:14They can try to censor us.
00:54:16But the people's voice of moral clarity will shine through all of their bullshit.
00:54:22Who's streets?
00:54:28Our streets!
00:54:29Who's streets?
00:54:30Our streets!
00:54:31The atrocities being committed right now.
00:54:34And we need to discuss our current role.
00:54:38We must take control of our destiny and put an end to this endless slaughter and war.
00:54:45In 2003, when the U.S. regime tried to invade Iraq,
00:54:53hundreds of thousands of people across Canada rose up and did mass mobilizations
00:55:00to make their opposition to the Iraq war loud and clear.
00:55:05And because of the power of the people, the government of Canada refused to join the U.S. coalition
00:55:12and refused to join the war on Iraq.
00:55:15We can, we can, and we must do the same in this moment.
00:55:27The working class must take matters into its own hands.
00:55:36We cannot allow these corrupt monsters to decide our fate.
00:55:48We, the people, have the power as a collective to change the course of history.
00:55:54And most importantly, each and every one of us here has the responsibility to take personal action.
00:56:03We urge each and every one of you to get organized.
00:56:08It is not enough to show up to rallies and events.
00:56:13We urge you all to get organized.
00:56:17There are hundreds of riding solidarity groups across the country.
00:56:22There are student solidarity groups in every university.
00:56:27There are unions who are organizing for Palestine and labor for Palestine,
00:56:32which is here today in great numbers.
00:56:34Let us be the voice of moral clarity.
00:56:51Let us be on the right side of history.
00:56:55Long live revolutionary struggle against imperialism.
00:56:59And long live international solidarity.
00:57:04On that note, we will be dispersing here today.
00:57:13Because we held our ground and took this intersection for hours and the sweltering heat.
00:57:20So make some noise for yourselves.
00:57:23This is not the last that the government will hear from us.
00:57:31We will continue to mobilize for Palestine, for Lebanon, for Syria, for Yemen and for Iran.
00:57:43We will continue to stand in solidarity with our kin from the indigenous nations of Turtle Island.
00:57:54We will continue to build with the struggles of Pan-Africanists.
00:57:59Whether it's for the Sudan or Congo, we will stand side by side and face imperialist aggression.
00:58:06On that note, I want to repeat what we said at the beginning of this rally.
00:58:15While we know there are differing opinions about the situation that Iran is in,
00:58:20We must all unite in this moment around the fact that Iran's future is determined by Iranians only.
00:58:33Thank you everyone for coming out today.
00:58:38Make some noise for yourselves.
00:58:40Because without you, this could not have happened.
00:58:43Make some noise for all of you, whether you are community members or students or unionists.
00:58:54Whoever you are, thank you for coming out today.
00:58:57And please, please, and please, show up again and again.
00:59:02Because we have the power to change the course of history and prevent us from being plunged into World War III.
00:59:11On that note, I've done a lot of yapping here.
00:59:21We urge you again to show up for our next mobilization.
00:59:24Stay tuned by following us on social media at PYM Toronto, at Iranians United for Palestine, at Iranian-Canadian Congress.
00:59:35And we will continue to mobilize and grow in numbers day after day until we build a mass movement to put an end to this war of aggression.
00:59:50We can't let the Zionists, we can't let anyone divide us.
00:59:57We keep saying how soon we are, we are fighting the same enemy.
01:00:02And before we fight them on the streets, we have to fight them within ourselves.
01:00:08We have to push for unity.
01:00:11We all come from different backgrounds, we have different viewpoints, but we all are standing together against the same enemy.
01:00:19And we need to keep doing that.
01:00:24So I ask all the brothers and sisters to not agitate each other.
01:00:30We said we have each other to protect.
01:00:33I'm sure there are Iranian being killed by Israel who are on both sides.
01:00:40There is one enemy.
01:00:42One enemy.
01:00:43And we need to fight for that.
01:00:46That's it.
01:00:47Thank you everyone.
01:00:49We need our numbers to be concentrated to keep each other safe.
01:01:00So please start dispersing right now onto the sidewalks.
01:01:04We're going to start moving the truck.
01:01:06Please make your way to the sidewalks.
01:01:08If you need help getting to your car or train station, please approach any of our marshals who are wearing yellow vests.
01:01:14If you need any help at all.
01:01:17And if you have taken a flag from us, please bring it back to the truck.
01:01:21If you took a flag or a sign, please bring it back to the truck.
01:01:25I'm low-key having my heat stroke right now.
01:01:28So please bring them back.
01:01:30Congratulations.
