01:24when my brothers and sisters are picking up their siblings in pillowcases,
01:31are picking up the remains of the limbs of their family members in pillowcases?
01:37How can I feel any bit of joy, any bit of happiness?
01:44The thing is,
01:46although we say that it's been 616 days,
01:51it has been 77 years of this ongoing occupation.

02:06of this ongoing corruption,
02:08of this ongoing fascism that we are witnessing.

14:21What is that, 400,000 people in Gaza that beat the cause for us to see and for the whole world to see what is right and what is wrong?
14:29But Gaza remains 2.2 million strong.

14:42200, 228 journalists have paid the cost, sacrificing their lives, sharing the truth.
14:50So we tell them, we are all the journalists of Gaza.
14:56More than 200 medical personnel have actually lost their lives while they're trying to save lives.
15:04And we tell them, we are all the medical staff for Gaza.
15:07How can it be claimed as self-defense with a so-called moral army?
15:18The so-called moral army that has all this crazy technology, but yet they call this self-defense with 19,000 children dead.

15:33All these children that were being raised or lifted underneath the rubble, come out with their faith strong because their faith is the only thing they have left.
15:43Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the only thing they have left.
15:46This is why they say, Allah is great and thanks Allah for this test, for what they're actually going through.
15:56But these children, these children that leave from Gaza, be worried of that.
16:02These children, when they grow to be teenagers and men, they will be the ones to end this occupation, inshaAllah.

16:54The ones that will stay up all night calming these kids while they sleep over these bombardments.

17:12And of course, we're going to get to the men of Gaza and the fathers of Gaza that go and carry and take their children underneath the rubble.

17:26The fathers, specifically on a day like today, on Father's Day, we give salute to all the fathers out there that come with their families here today in Toronto to actually do what is right.
17:39You all souls to actually stand on the right side of history for actually bringing your families here to do what is right.
17:47Whoever killed a soul, except for a soul slain or for sedition in this earth or oppression in this earth,

39:32What good is it going to do, if I speak up?
39:37How much is my voice going to change anything?

39:44So imagine that, imagine every single person has this thought in their head.
39:49That thought does not exist anymore.
39:52If that thought is still in your head now, kill that thought.
39:57Live every single day from here on out.
40:01As if the people in Gaza are relying on you.
40:05They're not.
40:06But imagine as if they are.
40:08Because the people in Gaza have taught us over these last 20 months,
40:12they don't need us.
40:14They don't need all this support that's happening in the West.
40:18Do you really think that a mother that is picking up the remains of her child
40:25is looking at you for hope?
40:29Do you really think that a father that is looking into the fire as their child is burning
40:34is looking at us for hope?
40:37The only person, the only thing, the only entity, if I can even call it that,
40:45that they are looking to, that they have faith in, is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
40:50The only thing that they have faith in after all this time is their creator.
40:55So the only reason that you and I are here on these streets,
40:58of course we're here for our brothers and sisters in Gaza.
41:02But we are here so that our creator can be pleased
41:07with the actions that we do every single day.
41:10because I can ask every single one of you
41:13and everything that we do
41:15is not even a fraction
41:17of what they have endured for the last 20 months.
41:22The trials and tribulations
41:24that we go through here
41:26in so-called Canada
41:28are just a fraction
41:31of what our brothers and sisters face.
41:33We wake up every single day
41:37in a comfortable bed
41:40with warm sheets over our body
41:43food in our fridge
41:46water ready to drink
41:49under a comfortable roof
41:51living with our loved ones
41:54having the ability to go to work
41:56having the ability to see our loved ones every single day
41:59and those are our trials and tribulations.
42:03Do I make plans when there's a protest?
42:06Do I cancel?
42:07Do I go to the next one?
42:08Oh, it's been going on for 20 months.
42:10I'll go to the next one.
42:12Do I fill up gas now?
42:13No, the gas is a little expensive today.
42:14I'll fill up tonight.
42:16Do I buy groceries now?
42:17No, I don't need it.
42:18I still have food in the fridge.
42:19Those are the trials and tribulations
42:21that we face here.
42:22You know what the people in Gaza face?
42:25You know the pain and the heartache that they face?
42:27The people in Gaza
42:31have to ask each other
42:35should we sleep under the same roof
42:39because when a missile comes down from above
42:41chances are it's going to strike the entire house.
42:45Does it make sense for us to sleep under the same roof?
42:47Should we become martyrs together?
42:49Should we die together?
42:52Or do they split up the family?
42:53Those are their trials and tribulations.
42:55Oh, look, there's a new humanitarian aid drop
42:59that they're placing near XYZ zone.
43:03Do we trust them this time?
43:05Do we trust that this humanitarian aid
43:07is something that we are able to receive?
43:10Do we risk our life?
43:12Do we risk the young men in the family to go?
43:14Those are the trials and tribulations
43:19that our brothers and sisters in Gaza face.
43:23So no matter
43:23how crappy your life is,
43:28no matter how hard the decisions are,
43:32remember that every single day
43:33your loved ones are safe,
43:36living under a roof
43:39with food and water in their fridge
43:42and so many blessings
43:44to be able to do exactly what it is
43:47that we're doing here.
43:48Look at us right now.
43:49We're in downtown Toronto
43:51protesting for our brothers and sisters in Gaza
43:54and our biggest worry right now
43:57is, oh, the protest ended far.
43:59We've got to walk all the way back.
44:00That's our biggest worry.
44:01That's our hardest decision right now.
44:04But imagine what our brothers and sisters
44:05in Gaza are facing.
44:06Now, I'm not saying this to bring you down,
44:09but it's to really put things into perspective.
44:13That yes, we did have this protest
44:15and yes, we did show a lot of energy
44:16and yes, a lot of us are very, very happy
44:19and excited because there's
44:20things going on
44:21and fireworks happening around the world.
44:28But again, no matter what we do,
44:31we relate it back to
44:33we are the children of Gaza
44:35because over these past 20 months,
44:38it really has woken me up.
44:40It really has made me understand
44:42what my purpose is here in this dunya
44:44and that should be for every single one of us.
44:47It should make us want to be better human beings
44:49for each other, for our family members,
44:52for the people of Gaza,
44:54but most importantly,
44:55for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
44:57because we are here on this earth
44:59to fulfill a purpose
45:00and that is to worship Allah
45:01and by doing these actions,
45:03by doing these sorts of things,
45:07inshallah, inshallah, inshallah,
45:08may Allah accept all of our efforts.
45:11And from the river to the sea,
45:13inshallah, Palestine,
45:14we'll be free very soon.
