00:202023 world champions this stadium only opened in 2020 it replaced the old stadium uh which

00:28was right next was ameriquest field the other stadium hadn't billion names the ballpark at

00:31arlington but the old stadium built in 1994 didn't have a roof and in brutal summer heats

00:39they decided the texas rangers needed a retractable stadium so they built this stadium which opened

00:45in 2020 during the pandemic it actually hosted the 2020 world series the bubble world series

00:51but right here globe live field and if you notice the roof is closed when it is open the

00:57roof slides on tracks to the back and you get to see open air baseball here amongst the texas

01:04sky i guess we're not going to be seeing texas sky tonight but let's check out globe live field

01:10you know when i talk about pre-game atmosphere you have to offer something the texas rangers offer

01:35this texas live restaurants live food live music food i mean there you got some texas barbecue smoke

01:43and heat outside globe live stadium you know the fan atmosphere outside the game i'm gonna have to

01:51give this an a minus it's not quite to the top level but it definitely deserves an a and they got

01:59the statues of legends like pudge rodriguez and nolan ryan but this is what it's supposed to look like

02:04outside the stadium the texas rangers did it right more than just an idea more than just a dream

02:10the spirit of adventure gave birth to a team first impression is it's huge in here it's big

02:17it there's not much it does it's this is this is kind of a post-modern stadium

02:25still feels somewhat like an aircraft hanger

02:30they brought it down to texas and gave them a new name they've never seen that time they just haven't

03:10doing texas ranger games for a long time and then fans come and visit him and get to look at his

03:16announcement where's the world sir do they have the world series trophy on display anywhere

03:20not here man hey hey yes they don't have this trophy on display at the stadium

03:27not here man not right now that's a bad job the texas rangers have statues for pudge rodriguez and

03:35nolan ryan beautiful they display the retired numbers in a great way they display the banners

03:42in a great way but for them not to have the championship trophy in this case is a bad job

03:50on their part in terms of honoring their history and this isn't even their history this is their now

03:58they get a c minus that trophy needs to be out here fans need to be able to take pictures with

04:04that trophy bad job rangers

04:06as far as sight lines go the texas rangers nailed it this is the upper deck

04:23and you've got a great seat there's not a bad seat in this stadium that's what you need to see

04:32you have look at this you could see anything and everything here they got the championship banner

04:38up there there's not a bad seat in the house in terms of sight lines and seating areas this stadium

04:46gets an a plus

04:48with the metroplex they've made a lot of friends yes on and off the field they are quite a bunch of men

04:55they've said some high high goals yes they've got a lot of class the world series in texas

05:00will now be here in class

05:02i wish the mets could have a truck like that

05:06wide open concourse you can see the field

05:19that's always a good thing i like this more stadiums ought to do this look at this you have areas

05:27where people can sit comfortably and eat now there are probably lounges for this team for the fans

05:33season ticket holders but for the average fan they could come to a bench like this and just sit

05:39relax and eat before the game for the concourse that you are wide open concourses wide wide open

05:46concourses with a view of the field they could not have done a better job a plus

05:53very southwest deemed in terms of food choices which works you know if you have a team that's in texas

06:10you want to have the barbecue you want to have the texas the mexican the tex-mex you want to have

06:16the regular ballpark foods pizza oh god 7-eleven pizza no i will not be trying pizza first off

06:25ballpark pizza is typically very bad but my god 7-eleven i mean 7-eleven i think it's more like a 1.7

06:42yes no ice it's the boomstick it's a two foot hot dog boom boom boom boom

06:52what can i say the boomstick a two foot hot dog yes that's right two feet of hot dog

06:59bun to dog ratio i don't think it matters it's a two foot hot dog good grill marks bun feels a little

07:06stiff but i guess it you can expect that with a two foot by a high roll well here goes nothing

07:28you know what this is a fine hot dog it's a double you know even though the roof is closed because of

07:41the glass panels and the natural light coming in it feels there's an openness there's an openness even

07:48when the roof is closed that is the other thing you want with a dome i mean they had to go inside

07:53because just the oppressive heat here in texas but they did a good job here at globe life they have an

08:02excellent assortment of texas specialties you got the tex-mex you got the mexican food you got the hot

08:10hot dogs a traditional ballpark fair and you got barbecue you know for a variety of food items i'm

08:18going to give the texas rangers a b and that's what you should do they they play into texas and they

08:27should play into texas and of course when i think of texas i think of brisket and well here we go a

08:35brisket sandwich got a little barbecue sauce to put on it there it is so when i think when i think texas

08:48i think brisket i think barbecue let's give this brisket a rating

08:56that's fine brisket that's fine brisket

09:11i'm gonna give that brisket a b plus

09:15so come on all you people joining all the fun be part of something where you are number one let's all get

09:23together and get behind our team our forces will unite as the stands begin to sing here's a bobblehead

09:29of the mascot the rangers have a mascot its name is captain it's a horse of course and uh it's been

09:38around since 2002 i'm going to give the grade of the mascot a c average mascot who is not readily present

09:49in the stadium all right you know globe life field may not be visually pleasing looks like an aircraft

09:59carrier but you know what it's useful it doesn't waste anything inside wide open concourses stay

10:11focused on making the inside of the stadium nice overall may not be pretty may not be one of the best

10:18teams in baseball but it's a good solid stadium i'm giving globe life field a b minus as well as the

10:27game experience texas rangers made you feel welcome they're very nice service here texas rangers you

10:36scored good you did it right you did it right the guys the texas are upon you all across the american league
