00:00Welcome along, the last rider to make such a strong start to a season was way back in 2014, a certain Mr. Shane Byrne, 11 long years ago, actually that was my first year working with James Hayden and after all this time James, I've still got him strong.
00:14Absolute pleasure.
00:15Yeah, good to be with you both. And it just goes to show actually, James, that it is a rare thing in BSB to have one rider dominate so much so early in the season.
00:23Yeah, 100%. And you've got to say Brad has just found that little bit something more.
00:28And it's actually quite ominous, a little bit scary for the other guys on the grid because you look at the grid for this race too.
00:33It's 0.6 quicker than Carl in second, 0.7 quicker than Tommy, 1.1 second quicker than the man in full four, he's Skinner.
00:40So he really has found something with the rules the way they are. It's just the way he's riding it.
00:45And they're going to have to really try and get amongst him, try and break that rhythm, try and break that dominance because the more he wins, the more he believes.
00:52And he's just becoming more and more imperious right now. So big job for those boys.
00:56For today, is it damage limitation for those riders, Shecky, or do they have to try and somehow disrupt Brad at the front?
01:02Well, for me, I think that they have to try and disrupt him at the front, don't they?
01:05The reality is Brad's riding really good. He's come back from two years in World Championship and two years in World Championship doesn't make you any slower.
01:12You know, it only makes you faster. He's riding that bike so well. He feels so cool, calm, collected, under control.
01:19Like he's riding with an element of reserve, if you like. So see him here in sector two.
01:24This is one of the sectors of the track at Stetson. He's been pretty much half a second clear of everybody.
01:29He's just in the zone. He's just hitting his marks and feeling great on the bike.
01:33And, you know, for his rivals now, you know, they've got to get amongst it. They've got to try and disrupt that rhythm.
01:39What is it exactly that he's doing through this sector to be that much quicker than everyone else?
01:43He's just on point, isn't he? You know, he's enjoying riding his bike. He's having a lot of fun.
01:48Loves the Yamaha. Loves the raceway. His team.
01:50You know, Kyle Wright has an identical bike. Absolutely identical barring suspension.
01:54You know, they're both exactly the same.
01:57But for me, the guys can't keep thinking, well, do you know what?
02:00We're not going to do it here. Let's try it at Knock Hill.
02:02Well, we're not going to do it at Knock Hill. Let's try it at wherever.
02:05Because like James says, wins and wins and wins and wins build confidence.
02:08And confidence just makes you faster and faster.
02:10One man who will try and stop him if he gets the opportunity, we know this, is Tommy Bridewell.
02:15And he's given himself a good opportunity today.
02:17Yeah, a bit of a slow start. Really struggled with this new Pirelli, according to Tommy.
02:22And they've had to adapt the bike quite a lot.
02:24Fantastic yesterday. He got his first podium of the year.
02:27And hopefully that's reinvigorated him.
02:28Because as you say, Tommy's there about. He will have a go.
02:32And we need someone trying to sort of ruffle him up a little bit and just try to pull him back.
02:36So fingers crossed he can get stuck in again today.
02:39OK. First podium for Tommy yesterday then.
02:42So should be full of confidence going into today's action.
02:45Let's hear from him now.
02:47Tommy, we're here at Snetterton for round three of the 2025 Championship.
02:52Probably not gone quite to plan.
02:54For you. We were all expecting to see you come out of the blocks guns blazing after a brilliant year last year.
02:59And if you look at the detail, you're still going as quick as last year.
03:03What is happening so far?
03:05Everyone's asked to go a bit faster.
03:06Yeah.
03:08It's been a below par start to the season for us, for sure.
03:12I think ultimately we did expect to be a lot stronger.
03:17And why wouldn't we for definite after the end of the year we had last year was unbelievable.
03:24We really got the bike in a great area, in a great window.
03:27And then they're not sprung upon us, but they bought a new tyre in this year.
03:34And I'm certainly not going to sit here and whinge, because that's not me.
03:39It's certainly gave the Yamaha and the Ducati a bit of a step.
03:46And strangely, at the minute, it's not gave us anything.
03:50So it's down to me and down to Honda to understand what we're doing wrong.
03:56Because that's the crux of it.
03:57We're doing something wrong that is not allowing us to use the new tyre.
04:02My lap times are pretty much identical, if not faster than last year.
04:07My race times are faster than last year.
04:10But at the minute, everyone else is faster because of this new tyre.
04:14So, I don't know.
04:15Honestly, it's strange.
04:17Sometimes I go through the emotions and I'm a bit frustrated.
04:20I expect to win the championship this year.
04:22I can see that that's becoming a tough task.
04:26And if we don't get a handle on it quick, then it will soon be too late.
04:32And then on the flip side, I've been in Misano and been in Barcelona
04:36on some other tests with Honda, with the world stuff, and feel amazing.
04:42You know, feel absolutely great and just have a smile on me face.
04:45So, there's some internal changes this weekend,
04:50which is going to be interesting for me to try and see if that will help, for sure.
04:55And just need to get a smile back on me face.
04:59You know, I'm so highly strung.
05:01I'm so highly strung that all I want to do is win.
05:03And I do not care who I upset.
05:05I do not care what it takes.
05:07That's all I'm interested in.
05:08Well, that's what I'll be looking to do today after that podium yesterday.
05:13And obviously, those internal changes that he was talking about before the start of the weekend
05:17seem to have had a good effect, Shane.
05:18Yeah, he's got a new team.
05:20Not all of the team.
05:21I think some of the team, the new crew chief especially.
05:23And that, for any rider, is the most important relationship between anybody in the garage.
05:28You know, you have to be able to get on with your crew chief.
05:31And he spoke very highly of his old crew chief.
05:33He just said that, you know, they're working in different ways.
05:35You know, Tommy was wanting different things.
05:37And he hit the nail on the head.
05:39He described himself perfectly.
05:40He's like, he just shoots from the hip, doesn't he?
05:42He sort of talks first and then thinks after.
05:45And sometimes that doesn't always work.
05:46But that's what makes us love him, you know.
05:49So he's got a new crew chief.
05:52Put it on fourth on the grid.
05:53Got a podium yesterday and hoping to build on that today.
05:56He feeds off that emotion as well, doesn't he?
05:58Especially on a race day, James, he always seems to find something a little bit extra.
06:02Yeah, he's a racer.
06:03And this is just where he needs.
06:05He's actually on the front, you know, right-hand side of the front row.
06:07So if he can get a good launch this time, he's starting to believe a little bit.
06:10They've obviously made some changes which have worked.
06:12Because we know what Tommy can do.
06:15And he hasn't quite been able to do it.
06:16He's been off colour so far this season.
06:19Which is a surprise to sort of.
06:20But you've heard him, you know, you heard what he said.
06:22He's got a new chief.
06:22They kind of mix things up.
06:24They're kind of, they're trying to give him what he needs.
06:26You know, but a lot of it's here.
06:27And I think that that is something that looks like he's, he's back.
06:31He's like got a bit more of his walk, you know, in his steps.
06:34So fingers crossed.
06:35Do you know what the fundamental problem is for me?
06:36The goalposts have been moved.
06:38Lap time has been moved.
06:40Brad's come back.
06:41Everybody else is doing the same sort of job.
06:43Which would have put him a little bit closer to the front.
06:44And at the moment, they're like, oh my God, what do we do here?
06:46Do you know what I mean?
06:47Right, how do I fix this?
06:48How do I get to that next level?
06:49But that's the issue for me.
06:51Yeah.
06:52Okay.
06:52Another guy who would have expected and would have, we would have all expected to be pushing
06:57Brad today would have been Glenn Irwin.
07:00Unfortunately, he's not with us today, James.
07:02A real shame.
07:03Yeah, absolutely.
07:04If you look here, it's about third bike just coming through now.
07:06It's a really late, vicious high side.
07:09Second gear, lands badly.
07:12He's, you know, really knocked himself about.
07:15I'll let him explain his injuries in a sec.
07:17But we're absolutely all gutted here.
07:19Because Glenn is someone that will take the fight.
07:22You know, he's all emotion.
07:24He rides it with a broken pelvis.
07:27And, you know, he's very bashed around.
07:30And that is his championship done, which is an absolute gutted.
07:34I just wish him, you know, the speed of recovery.
07:37Yeah, absolutely.
07:38He's in Norfolk and Norwich Hospital at the moment.
07:40I know he's watching as well.
07:41So, Glenn, from all of us here, wish you a speedy recovery.
07:45He was quite lucky, though, actually, Shaky in some respects as well.
07:48Do you know what?
07:49I think that you have to look at it with a glass half full kind of attitude, you know?
07:53Because I don't know if you noticed in the clip that we just showed you that basically
07:57Glenn had his high side.
07:59Yes, he's come down.
08:00And yes, he's smashed his sacrum.
08:01Yes, he's done his pelvis.
08:02And yes, that's super unlucky.
08:03Yes, he was one of the people that could potentially take a championship fight to Bradley Ray.
08:08However, if you look at the end of that clip, Glenn ended up so, so, so close to being run over by his brother, Andrew.
08:15And if that would have happened, we could have been talking about a whole different ballgame.
08:18Well, as I said, he is in the hospital at the moment.
08:22He was there overnight and he had this special message for fans on his Instagram account.
08:27Everybody, I just wanted to make a post to first of all thank you for all the messages from riders, fans, sponsors, marshals.
08:35And the list goes on.
08:38I'm really, really grateful for all my well wishes.
08:44I'm happy to share with everyone where we are.
08:48And so I've kind of smashed my sacrum.
08:54It's in lots of little pieces, but they're all quite close together.
08:59So it may actually not need surgery.
09:03But then with obviously a few to return into racing, sometimes we get treated.
09:08I'm not saying better, but a different approach.
09:10So maybe we have a surgery.
09:13I have another fracture in my pelvis where the hip socket goes into.
09:21It's the only injuries I have.
09:24I'm very, very grateful.
09:26Obviously, you've seen Andrew was very close to me and also Rory.
09:30My crass, the guys couldn't see me with the clitor dust.
09:34So neurologically, everything's okay.
09:38They've tested all that.
09:39It's just a lot of nerves go through the sacrum.
09:42So they're very irritated and very weak.
09:45I have a lovely window beside me.
09:52I can look out.
09:55I have Discovery Plus.
09:57So I'm going to watch MotoGP.
09:59I'm ready supermikes all day tomorrow.
10:02So there is, that's the most full update.
10:05I've just had Andrew, Scott Swan, Simon Reid and my sister Sarah visit.
10:10Chris McLaurin, Ryan Reney and Frank Bird have been in the hospital most of the day.
10:17So I end by apologising to the team because we've ruined our championship challenge for sure.
10:24We will be missing for a little while.
10:25But in true Glenn's spirit, we're resilient.
10:32We're determined.
10:33We will be back.
10:34And the goal is what the goal has always been.
10:37And that's to lift the brace for the bike championship.
10:40Thanks for all the support.
10:41I'll keep you updated.
10:42I don't have a YouTube channel, so I'll just use a social media.
10:47Thank you.
10:50Glenn, as I said, best of luck.
10:53We're looking forward to seeing you back here.
10:54We're all missing you today.
10:56In Glenn's absence, one rider who could potentially make a challenge now today for the podium is Rory Skinner.
11:01He's been starting to get to grips with that Ducati over the opening two rounds of the season.
11:06James, he was unfortunate yesterday to have a mechanical.
11:08Yeah, I mean, here he is.
11:10He's been riding really well.
11:11Looks great on the bike.
11:12You know, the team are giving him what he likes.
11:14And he's taken a little bit of adapting to the Ducati's.
11:17And he really looks like he's getting there.
11:19Unfortunately, he had a bit of a problem with his bike yesterday.
11:24Retired out of fourth.
11:25But as we can see here, really good to see him there.
11:27And, you know, there's no reason why he shouldn't be pushing for that podium.
11:31Yep, absolutely.
11:32All right.
11:32Well, not too long till we find out if he can.
11:35Because Bennett's BSB race two of the weekend, it's a sprint race.
11:40And it's coming up in just a few minutes' time.
11:41We've got racing throughout the afternoon for you with the Talent Cup.
11:44A single race here this weekend for the Super Storks.
11:47Super Sports before BSB race three at half past four this afternoon.
11:52And we'll finish up with the Super Teams.
11:54Well, as you can see, the grid has now formed here at Snet.
11:58So let's get out there and join James Whitton.
12:00James Morris, I'm back on row three.
12:01Seems a little bit unfair, actually, because this man, Christian Hiddin, had a fine fifth yesterday.
12:06I thought he rode really well.
12:07I thought you were, what's the word?
12:09Harsh at times.
12:11Big overtaking moves at Coram's.
12:13But it had to be done and a good ride, mate.
12:14But, yeah, definitely, I don't like, I like making those moves.
12:19But I don't want to be having to try and make those moves.
12:20But it's just by nature of where we're strong and weak.
12:22So it kind of forced my hand a little bit into those sort of things.
12:25And I made a hard race myself.
12:27So I got a mint start and then made a mistake at turn four on the first lap.
12:30And just lost a couple of places that I think, if I'd been a bit further forward,
12:33maybe I could have made the break and had a little bit of fight.
12:36Certainly not for the front two.
12:37But, yeah, maybe for Rory, perhaps.
12:39So I feel really good on the bike, you know, from the first lap on Friday,
12:43I felt really good on the bike.
12:45And that's obviously translated.
12:47This is not an ideal starting grid position for us in ninth.
12:50But if I can get a good start and try and get in the mix in this sprint race,
12:53then it should be good fun.
12:54Good luck.
12:55Thank you, mate.
12:56Well, you know what I think?
12:57I think it's the colour of the bike.
12:58That's what I think.
12:59You're keeping this.
13:00Yeah, well, I've got the Banana Man lid on the go.
13:05And, yeah, Eric Wimp is my little...
13:07Good luck, Gisian, lad.
13:09Cheers.
13:09Yeah, the yellow colour's working for you.
13:12I thought fifth was really good.
13:13His team-mate also ran in that bunch as well.
13:15That's Max Cook.
13:16He's up here.
13:17We're looking across to Leon Haslam.
13:18Had a lovely run to fourth.
13:20But, again, he's starting from the third row,
13:23which seems a little bit unfair, to be honest.
13:25But he goes off lap time.
13:26So, right, we're going to go forward.
13:29Come on, Ash, stay with it.
13:32Max Cook, again, had a cracking ride right in the bunch yesterday.
13:35Well done, Max.
13:36And we're going to have to have a word with this man.
13:38There's been a lot I said.
13:38We've interviewed him a couple of times this weekend already.
13:43Storm, right, you might not like this,
13:45but I'm going to tell you what I think.
13:46You are riding that so hard,
13:48and that's probably making the bike do things that...
13:51It looks not out of control, but certainly lively.
13:54Is that how you're riding it, or is that the bike?
13:55If I want to ride it smooth, how Snetterton should be,
13:59I'm doing 49s all day.
14:02If I want to ride the thing fast, it's got to be out of shape.
14:06It's like going on the grass yesterday.
14:08I watched the race back.
14:09Obviously, you saw it most laps.
14:11I'm not doing it.
14:12The bike's just trying to...
14:13I'm just trying to keep the thing on the track
14:15and get it round the track.
14:16So what do you need?
14:18More time on it?
14:19No, there isn't an answer for it.
14:20There isn't an answer for it.
14:21There's a possible swing arm we can try for knock hill,
14:24but I can't put a finger on it,
14:27because I watch it and I still don't even know what it is we need,
14:30but it is what it is.
14:31At the end of the day, all you can do is...
14:33You can't moan about it.
14:34You've just got to get on with it.
14:35If it's hard work, well, I need to train harder then, don't I?
14:37Get on with it.
14:38Good luck, Storm.
14:39Spot on.
14:39Cheers.
14:40Yeah, he was riding really hard.
14:42Sometimes you ride hard and you override,
14:45and that makes you go slower.
14:46Sometimes if you ride less hard, you go slower,
14:49so you've got to keep riding hard.
14:50I got what he meant.
14:51Right, where are we?
14:52Where is he about?
14:56No, no, he's all right.
14:57We'll come back.
14:58So we'll come back to Tommy Bradwell.
14:59We've chanced some middle of the front row.
15:02Kyle, ride.
15:02Kyle, great ride yesterday, I thought.
15:05I thought you stuck with Brad as long as you could.
15:06I don't think even you expected to stay with him till the end.
15:09He had a little bit more pace,
15:10but it dragged you away from everybody else.
15:12Lonely race, but I think good result, mate.
15:14Yeah, the middle part of the race was just my race.
15:17I did what I could do.
15:18I gave it a good shot at the start
15:19to try and put a bit of pressure on Brad,
15:21but be all and end all, all weekend has been really fast.
15:23And, yeah, it's something I'm trying to figure out.
15:26When I followed him, I learned a few bits.
15:28I've got to give it a good shot this first race,
15:30but it's difficult.
15:31Well, as always, I admire your honesty when you said,
15:34I tried to follow him and learn a bit of something.
15:35Don't think I learned much.
15:36Yeah, it was just the middle sector, really.
15:39He's got a bit of advantage, not just on me, but on everyone.
15:42So me being on the same bike as him,
15:44I'm trying to learn best I can.
15:46But sometimes some people are better at other things than I am,
15:49and you've got to accept.
15:50One of the things yesterday, the track temperature was up nearly 50.
15:53It's a bit less today with the breeze.
15:55Now, that makes everything feel a bit greasy,
15:57not so much dangerous, just moving around.
15:59Difficult to sit on your own with nobody behind
16:02and nobody close in front because you've nothing to gauge off.
16:04Was that the case?
16:05Yeah, yesterday was difficult.
16:07It was red hot.
16:08I gave it three solid fast laps, had a few moments,
16:12and then did my own race from there.
16:14Steady second, only lost two points to Brad.
16:16So, yeah, I'll give it a good shot in this sprint race,
16:17see where we end up, and hopefully we get a bit closer.
16:20Hello, mate.
16:20Cheers, mate.
16:21Right, about a minute left, so we're going to have to get across.
16:24Although Tommy is back at his bike, I think he went for a comfort break.
16:28Many of them do on the grid.
16:29It's the nerves here, you know.
16:31But we've got to get across this man
16:32because he's been exceptional all weekend, is the honest truth.
16:36So, Brad, 45 seconds left on this,
16:40so you don't like to talk on the grid anywhere we're going to make.
16:42Yeah, what a good ride.
16:44It was kind of obvious that was going to...
16:46Not going to happen, anything could go wrong,
16:48but that was a possibility in your minute.
16:51You played it out perfect.
16:52Yeah, it was good.
16:52Got a good start, put some quick laps in at the start of the race
16:55to pull a gap, but I had good pace anyway in the race,
16:59so it was nice.
17:00I think today's going to be a bit more tricky.
17:02The wind's up and the gusts are quite big,
17:04so that's going to be a bit of an unknown.
17:06But we'll just do our own race and see where we are.
17:10Good luck, lad.
17:11Cheers, mate.
17:11Yeah, good point.
17:12I was going to mention the wind.
17:13It's straight in the face, down the start and finish.
17:15That means he can break later into turn one.
17:17It's right behind him, going down the long straight.
17:19That's going to make it tricky into the chicane
17:21at the end of the straight.
17:25Thanks, James.
17:26Yep, a fascinating prospect ahead then here at Snetterton.
17:29It's round three of the Bennett's British Superbike Championship.
17:32Brad Ray, very much the man to beat from pole position.
17:35Can anybody do it?
17:36We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:38We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:39We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:40We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:41We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:42We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:43We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:44We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:45We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:46We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:47We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:48We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:49We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:50We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:51We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:52We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:53We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:54We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:55We'll find out in a couple of minutes.
17:56Terima kasih.
18:27It's another beautiful day in sunny Norfolk.
18:30Round 3 of Bennett's BSB for 2025.
18:35Can anyone stop Brad Ray?
18:37That is the tale of the tape so far this season in British Superbikes.
18:42He has been unstoppable in all but one of the races so far this year.
18:46Leon Haslam, the only man to have stopped him back at Alton Park.
18:50We wish all the best to Glenn Irwin in his recovery.
18:54We hope to have him back in the saddle soon.
18:57But this is how it looks in the championship after yesterday.
19:0022 up for Brad Ray over his former teammate Kyle Rye.
19:04Leon Haslam's third in the championship.
19:05Glenn Irwin, of course, absent.
19:07Drops to fourth.
19:08Brooks is fifth.
19:09Skinner sixth.
19:09And Tommy Bridewell, with his first podium yesterday, goes into seventh ahead of Danny Kent.
19:15This, of course, is a sprint race.
19:18It's 12 laps long as opposed to yesterday's 16.
19:20Ray on pole with an all-time lap record of a 46.583 ahead of Bride and Tommy Bridewell, who starts on that front row.
19:28Skinner, Stacey and Cook, fourth, fifth and sixth.
19:32They're going to have to get their gloves off early if they want to get their teeth sunk into Brad Ray.
19:36Nesbitt starts seventh ahead of Haslam and Christian Iden.
19:39Interesting what Brad just said on the grid, and you just backed that up about the wind.
19:44Where is that going to be potentially tricky, James?
19:46Well, it's not going to be, I think, that tricky, but it will have an effect on how you've got to ride.
19:51So it's right in their face, up the start and finish rate, which means into Rich's.
19:54The first turn, they're going to get a little bit of help in braking, which means you can allow for that and brake a little bit later.
20:00It'll also help them turn into the corner, but there's other corners that it will stop them dropping in just as quick.
20:05They've got to allow for that, but I think most importantly, down the backstreet, they've got a fair tailwind,
20:11and that tends to push them into the corner if they don't allow and put their braking marker a little bit before it would be.
20:18So you could see people running a little bit...
20:20A bit overcooking to Brondon.
20:22Yeah, exactly, yeah, but they'll allow for that, and you just get used to doing that as well.
20:26And quite clearly, the only way it seems like on paper at the moment they're going to beat Brad Ray is to really get stuck in early on.
20:31Yeah, yeah, and be quiet.
20:33And even then, it's a big ask. It's not so easy to go and rough somebody up who can do the best part of a second quicker than you will have times, you know?
20:42But yeah, the only hope for them is that he doesn't quite make the start that he made yesterday.
20:47Let's see. It is BSB after all, and we've seen some funny tales over the years.
20:51He's won five of the first six. He starts from pole.
20:54You can see the gust of wind there with the red flag being held up at the front.
20:5812 laps coming up then around this 2.96-mile Snetterton 300 circuit.
21:04A lovely day. Good to see plenty of fans in.
21:07Who's going to get their hands on the winner's trophy after this?
21:10It is the Quattro Group Racer Vases here this weekend.
21:13Ray on pole. Ride second. Brightwell third.
21:16And away they go, and another rocket start for Brad Ray on pole position as they get away now towards Ritchie's turn one.
21:24He's got the whole shot ahead of Kyle Rye. Good start there, Brad.
21:26Oh, I was going to say from Storm Stacey, he's lucky to stay on there.
21:30I tell you what, that was very lucky. That was Storm Stacey and Rory Skinner up the inside.
21:34Oh, Ray, the rider's gone too deep.
21:36Yeah, he couldn't stop that, couldn't, Kyle. No way.
21:40A few people sitting up there.
21:42Yeah, into turn one with Storm and with Rory.
21:46That was potentially a disaster, that front wheel into a back wheel doesn't normally work.
21:51Kyle Rye there. Credit to him.
21:53He had a nibble into turn two, but it did not work out.
21:57That's just going to give Ray a bit of breathing space.
21:58That's what we're saying.
22:00He's wide again.
22:01Yeah, I think Kyle's pushing on, and again, that's where you were going to get pushed on by the wind if you were.
22:08So, Ray, on the raceway to Yamaha Leeds, from Rory Skinner now on the Cheshire Mouldings to Cathy with some clear air.
22:14What can he do ahead of Kyle Rye now?
22:17Dropped out of the race yesterday with a mechanical.
22:19Tommy Rye was in fourth.
22:21That's Max Cook, who's just behind as well.
22:23Number 30, this is Blaise Baker towards the rear end.
22:26So, good start for Max Cook, the yellow and black Kawasaki, then Nesbitt in behind him.
22:30Kyle's got to be careful here.
22:31He's got a good slipstream, a tailwind, and this is where you're going to run a few hours.
22:35This is going to, the wind's going to shove you right in.
22:37No problem.
22:39Through Brundle and Nelson Corner up towards the bomb hole now on this opening lap.
22:46Brad Ray already building himself a nice advantage out front.
22:50It's Skinner here, number 11, in second.
22:53Skinner looks good.
22:54We didn't quite get to see what he could have done yesterday.
22:57Had a slight mechanical, I think, electrical problem.
23:01But, yeah, with a bit of look, keeps going.
23:02Looks good, doesn't it?
23:03He does.
23:03He does look good.
23:04He took a lovely wide sweeping ride around Corham.
23:06There was a big chunk of grass and dirt kicked up there from Kyle Rye on the exit of Murray.
23:09He's on to the start-finish straight.
23:10Kyle's rushing a little bit.
23:11It's not like him.
23:12No, just panicking maybe and trying to get stuck in too soon.
23:15Yep.
23:16Not quite in his rhythm as yet.
23:20Breaking now down in towards Wilson Corner.
23:22That was getting dirt kicked up in the background.
23:25Yeah, a lot of dust, yeah.
23:28Track temperature a little bit down, probably eight degrees down.
23:32That's going to be a lot better for the riders.
23:33The tyres won't just feel as greasy.
23:36There'll be a little bit less movement.
23:37That'll give them a little bit more confidence to make a move if they need to.
23:41So over the line, there was seven-tenths between Ray and Skinner.
23:44This is Nesbitt, number 86.
23:46He's in sixth ahead of Max Cook, number 30, Storm Stacey.
23:50Wide from Nesbitt there.
23:51And I think he...
23:52What did he suck wide with him?
23:53I think that was...
23:54Yeah, it was Cook, wasn't it?
23:55Yeah, I think so, yeah.
23:56Leon Haslam also didn't get off to the best of starts.
23:59From eighth on the grid, he's dropped down to tenth.
24:00So work to do for Haslam, who's not been out of the top six so far all season long.
24:07Tommy Bridewell back on the podium for the first time, which was good to see yesterday.
24:10For everybody.
24:12Tell me a look at this start again.
24:14Brad Ray got a perfect start.
24:15But keep an eye here.
24:16Another 79, Storm Stacey and Skinner.
24:18Yeah.
24:19Skinner comes...
24:20Storm did really well there.
24:22He knew he was coming.
24:23He knew he couldn't get his wheel in front and have Skinner know where he was and give him room.
24:29So he did well to get out of that.
24:30This is the running wide of...
24:33He got sucked in a little bit, didn't he?
24:34I think he knew.
24:36Once he...
24:36He kind of aims for the inside, which tells me that he knew.
24:40He was going a little bit wide.
24:42He almost looked like if he'd tried to continue, he might have even made contact with Brad.
24:46That's what I thought.
24:47He ducked out to the inside because he would have made contact.
24:49Yeah.
24:49Another fine lap from Bradley Ray out front, though.
24:52Look at the gap.
24:52He's opened up ahead of Rupert Skinner, number 11.
24:54And Kyle Ryde over the line at 46.9 on your second lap of the race.
25:00Absolutely flying out front.
25:02Skinner then in second with Ryde now chasing him down.
25:06Ryde, good corner speed through Ritchie's.
25:08He's going to make the move, as Ian Wilson.
25:10No, not quite this time.
25:18Throw it left now through Palmer corner.
25:21It's Yamaha out front from Ducati, from Yamaha, Honda.
25:26Yeah, this is the newer part of the track.
25:28I've ridden this quite a lot on track days, never raced it.
25:30A little bit more camber than there is on the older part of the track
25:34that's basically just built over a Second World War airfield,
25:37which tends to be really flat.
25:39Credit to Christian Hiddin.
25:40You said to him on the grid that he had a good day yesterday.
25:41He did.
25:42He had to barge his way through a few people,
25:44but he's just there looking.
25:45Fifth place.
25:46That's a good start from Christian.
25:47He's having a good weekend.
25:48He is.
25:48Yeah.
25:51Only two Kawasaki's on the grid.
25:52He did say yesterday it's going to be a bit of a testing weekend for them,
25:56but it's working out well.
25:58Yeah, he said they were just throwing this weekend away
26:00and it's going to be just a test,
26:02but actually they're getting better results than they have.
26:04They've been getting better results.
26:05Test over here.
26:05Yeah.
26:06Leon Haslam there, you can just see, just struggling a little bit.
26:09The team bosses on the left of the riders,
26:12second, third and fourth.
26:14Tommy Bridewell there on the Honda.
26:17This would be, in general, just a really positive weekend.
26:21For Honda.
26:21For Honda, for Tommy, to take into the rest of the season.
26:24Yeah, made a lot of changes.
26:25Tommy tends not to kind of muck about
26:28when it comes to wanting to make changes.
26:30Having to go around the outside, it's a long way around,
26:31but if you can get yourself level.
26:33That was nice.
26:35That's about as clean as you can expect that move to be.
26:38It's the obvious move there, if you can run them.
26:40Not easy to do, though.
26:41It's not easy to do.
26:42Around the outside it comes isn't easy
26:44when you're talking about going around the outside
26:45of somebody like Kyle Wright.
26:47Oh, and Kyle Wright battled back on the start-finish straight
26:50and then left it late to break into Richie's corner.
26:52Yeah, the problem there for Tommy was that
26:54by default going up the inside
26:56as somebody into Murray's chicane,
26:57you're not going to drag the speed on the start-finish there.
27:00Brad Ray again, a 46.9 from him, a 47.7 from Skinner.
27:07He's just too good for them at the moment.
27:09Yeah.
27:10Short to raise this one.
27:12Laps 4 of 12.
27:13Tire life shouldn't really come into play.
27:16This would be a solid result, though, for Skinner.
27:18Felt really sorry for him yesterday.
27:19Me too.
27:20I was just going to say,
27:21before you said that,
27:21I thought this is good from Skinner.
27:23New to...
27:24The bike's new to the team.
27:25Very different kind of bike,
27:26the way it works,
27:27the way it needs setting up.
27:28Brand new bike to Rory,
27:30and he's not making any mistakes.
27:32This is good.
27:32Ultimately, Brad Ray out front.
27:37He's just been phenomenal so far.
27:40He's looking through the record books we said earlier on
27:43as we watched this move here from Tommy.
27:45Yeah, to go around the outside of somebody
27:46and carry about five or six miles an hour more
27:48than the reigning British champion.
27:50Not so easy.
27:52But you can see how he's suffered going on
27:54at the start-finish,
27:55which is what?
27:55Nothing wrong with the speed of Tommy's bike.
27:58It's just he didn't get out of the chicane
27:59as quick as what Kyle did.
28:02So it is Ray from Skinner at the moment.
28:09Tommy Bride, well, in third place.
28:12And then he's...
28:12Oh, he was again.
28:13Sorry, he's in trying for third place.
28:15He had a look there.
28:16He did, but...
28:18Kyle again making one or two mistakes there.
28:20Very unlike him.
28:21Christian Hiddin.
28:22He's sneaking up on this group.
28:23Creeping closer.
28:24Yes, he is.
28:25I've noticed that.
28:26Banana man's on his way, isn't he?
28:29Behind Christian Hiddin,
28:30you've got Charlie Nesbitt and Max Cook,
28:32both riders in their second seasons
28:34of British Superbikes.
28:37There they are.
28:38There is number 86 and 30.
28:39And Josh Brooks up behind,
28:41who came on strong late on in yesterday's race.
28:43Leon Haslam not in a place where he'd want to be,
28:45you would suspect.
28:46And Storm Stacey just starting to drop down the field.
28:49He's in 10th ahead of Rodgers.
28:50Danny struggles continuing James Copley.
28:53They just can't get things right in McCann's yard.
28:54No, they can't.
28:55And the way he went last year,
28:56got his first PSB win.
28:58He looked competitive everywhere.
28:59Had the fastest lap three or four places,
29:01did Danny.
29:02I think they are one of the teams,
29:04one of the two or three teams,
29:05that's really struggled to get their head around.
29:07the different levels of grip
29:10and the way this different tyre
29:11they've all got to run on the rear
29:13is working.
29:14And that can happen.
29:16Flames popping out of the back of the exhaust there
29:17as Storm Stacey currently in 10th place.
29:20Fraser Rodgers on the tag.
29:21Honda is 11th.
29:23And it's Kent.
29:23Lee Jackson 13th.
29:25McPhee 14th.
29:26And Hedger in 15th.
29:27This fight here,
29:28this is Nesbitt and Cook.
29:31Charlie Nesbitt and Max Cook,
29:33they've known each other for years.
29:34Well, they've grown up in the same town
29:35and were racing minibikes
29:37from the age of about five or six.
29:39Not together,
29:39not the same family, obviously,
29:40but on the track together.
29:42Know each other really well.
29:44Like each other a lot.
29:45And it's a very friendly
29:46but intense rivalry.
29:47It is.
29:48And that's a nice move
29:49for a cook up the inside of Nesbitt.
29:51They raced each other
29:52at super team level as well.
29:53I remember that very well.
29:54All the way through.
29:54Yeah.
29:55A little bit like Kyle Ride and Brad Ray.
29:57Yeah, very similar actually.
29:58Yeah, very similar.
30:03Charlie still living down in Swindon.
30:07Max is up in the Midlands now.
30:10Rory Skinner just on that last lap quickly, James.
30:13Put in his personal best lap.
30:14A 47.2.
30:15Yeah.
30:15Really good from him.
30:17Over the line from Ray.
30:19A 47.6.
30:21Matched by Rory Skinner
30:22who's actually just starting to break away a bit here
30:24from Kyle Ride and Tommy Bradwell.
30:25Yes, he is.
30:25I think he's just been a little bit more consistent
30:28and not been any mistakes.
30:30We said yesterday, James,
30:32that the last rider to have won
30:34five out of the opening six
30:35was Shaky Burke in 2014.
30:38That's 11 years ago.
30:40You have to go a bit further back
30:42to find the last rider to win
30:43the first six out of seven.
30:46Any ideas?
30:48No.
30:49It was you.
30:50Was it?
30:50In 1993.
30:52God, I must guess.
30:531993.
30:54Only 32 years ago.
30:55That can't have been had been four.
30:57If you get a chance,
31:02anybody who's ridden a bike,
31:03I'm assuming or thinking,
31:05a few people watching have ridden motorcycles
31:07on the road
31:07and you expect and feel safest
31:11when the wheels are connected to the ground
31:14and not moving around
31:15on whatever surface you're on.
31:17just is really good here
31:19to see just how much
31:21these things are moving around.
31:22The front end is moving
31:24as you turn into the corners.
31:25You can't see much of that.
31:26But when they break it,
31:27just look how much the rear ends
31:28are wagging about
31:29and then coming out of the corners
31:30with the throttle open.
31:32Same again.
31:33It's a really weird feel
31:34when you first feel it,
31:35but you have to get used to it,
31:36especially now at this level
31:37on the bigger bikes.
31:38This has to be kind of natural.
31:39Yeah, you just think
31:41it's a great corner as it is,
31:43but Coram Curve, for example,
31:44if that had some positive camber,
31:46what a corner that would be.
31:47It'd be like Wall of Death.
31:50He's having another go.
31:51He's having another go.
31:52And that is a Wall of Death line.
31:54Right, going on to the start,
31:56finish date to start
31:56lap seven off 12.
31:58Did Tommy Bridewell
31:59make it through?
31:59No.
32:01Not on this occasion.
32:03Still the background there.
32:04Nesbit and Cook
32:04look like they're starting
32:05to really need it.
32:06He's not been able
32:07to bring anything
32:07to the third and fourth place fight.
32:09Another 47.6
32:12from Skinner
32:13matched by Bridewell
32:14and Ryde.
32:24To Wilson Courtner now.
32:26The hairpin.
32:28The old circuit, of course,
32:29used to be known as Sears
32:30and would just head straight
32:31down the bendy straight.
32:32Yep, that's it.
32:33In fact, before my time,
32:35even if that is possible
32:36to imagine,
32:38there used to be
32:39the Norwich Strait
32:40that ran
32:40along one of the old
32:42runways
32:42parallel with the A11
32:44and did a mile
32:46out into the countryside
32:47and a mile back.
32:48So, yeah,
32:49it's always been
32:50a fast circuit,
32:51Asnetton.
32:55Yeah, he didn't drop
32:56right off, eh?
32:57Yeah.
32:57Yeah.
32:58And there's quite a queue
32:59of riders
33:00ready to pick him off here.
33:02Two very experienced men there.
33:04Leon Haslam
33:05and Josh Brooks
33:05currently in
33:07eighth and ninth place
33:09in terms of the championship.
33:11They're also sitting
33:12in third and fifth,
33:13respectively.
33:16As things stand right now,
33:17Brad Ray set to increase
33:18his advantage
33:19in the championship
33:20by another four points.
33:22That will take him
33:22to 26 ahead
33:23going into the third
33:24and final race
33:25of the weekend
33:25this afternoon.
33:26See, this weekend, James,
33:30a lot of riders,
33:31it's not just there
33:32on the exit of Nelson,
33:33but it's a number of corners
33:34where a lot of grass
33:35has been kicked up.
33:37Yeah.
33:38You're trying to nick
33:39every little bit you can.
33:40A lot of circuits
33:41these days
33:42have green painted
33:45areas on the outside
33:46of the sort of
33:48red and white,
33:48red, white and blue,
33:49wherever your
33:49normal curvings
33:50are painted.
33:51And there's penalties
33:52for going on that.
33:53But actually,
33:54you're still telling it,
33:55even when there isn't
33:55any of that,
33:56and it's just normal,
33:57good old-fashioned
33:57grass and dust.
33:59You're still trying to
34:00nick everything you can.
34:02There is it,
34:02at number 21,
34:04ahead of Nesbitt and Cook.
34:05Haslam, Brooks,
34:06that's Stacey,
34:07number 89,
34:08tackle under there
34:09is Rodgers,
34:10ahead of Lee Jackson.
34:11I just started to close
34:12in on Rory's getting out.
34:13I think Rory's made a mistake.
34:15Well, let's have a look
34:15at his lap time.
34:17Yeah.
34:18There you go,
34:19look,
34:19it was about
34:20half a second off.
34:23Into the 48 spin.
34:25So that's a mistake
34:26from Rory.
34:28I think he'll have
34:28run on somewhere.
34:30Going to come under
34:30intense pressure here
34:31from the two most
34:33recent champions,
34:34the reigning champ,
34:34Kyle Hyde,
34:36the 2023 champion,
34:38Tommy Bridewell.
34:38If Rory wants to hold
34:39on to a podium place.
34:42Lap 8 of 12.
34:43So still some time
34:44left here
34:44for things to change.
34:45I think it'd be unfair
34:46if Rory didn't go on
34:48this weekend
34:48with a podium for himself.
34:50The effort he's put in,
34:51the strides he's made
34:52and the team's made
34:53by that bike.
34:54It's good to see
34:54because he's such a nice lad
34:56and he tries so hard
34:57and he's had a lot of bad luck.
34:58He's had a lot of bad luck.
34:59He's always pleasant though.
35:01Never seems to blame
35:03bad luck or anything.
35:04He just gets on with it.
35:04No, he is
35:05such a calm and cool character.
35:08Doesn't look flustered often.
35:10And even yesterday
35:10with a mechanical
35:11to subscribe to his shoulders
35:12and got on with it.
35:13Nothing you could do.
35:14Now it's a fair warm
35:15and long walk back as well.
35:17Bit of a warning there
35:18for Tommy Bridewell.
35:19Just on the exit
35:21of Nelson Corner.
35:24Sort of sat him up slightly.
35:26Yeah.
35:26That was only
35:27a fairly little slide
35:29but what we have seen
35:30over the weekend
35:31the track temperature
35:32being such that
35:33these little slides
35:35have an habit of
35:36being turned into
35:37something worse
35:38as we've seen
35:39with Glenn Irwin.
35:41That wasn't even a sort of
35:43it wasn't a
35:44the way that
35:44high side start
35:45didn't look that big
35:46and normally
35:47would have collected it
35:48but there isn't
35:49the levels of grip
35:50or there isn't
35:50the predictable grip
35:51when the track's this hot
35:53and that's what
35:53caught him out
35:54to a lad.
35:54breaking now into Wilson
35:57again.
35:59Just going to
35:59recover and regroup
36:01well on that last lap.
36:02Iden though
36:02is going to have to do
36:03some defensive work
36:04in the closing stages.
36:06The AGM Steelstock
36:08Kawasaki rider
36:09of course
36:09the FS3 team
36:10would have been delighted
36:12with that fifth place
36:13yesterday.
36:13The one-off colour scheme
36:14for Christian Iden
36:17and that's down to the fact
36:19that Alan Boyden
36:20who is the joint managing
36:23director of AGM
36:24was very fond of his
36:26Kawasaki Z1
36:27back in the day.
36:28And that's the thing
36:29most big sponsors
36:30in BSB
36:32have some link
36:33with bikes
36:34and what I mean by that
36:34is it's not just a corporate
36:35sponsor where they see it
36:36as financially favourable
36:38to both parties
36:39blah blah blah
36:39to get involved.
36:41Most big sponsorship
36:42deals in BSB
36:43are because
36:44maybe the CEO
36:45or somebody that come there
36:47had a bike
36:48and liked bikes
36:48and I love that.
36:49Yeah, that's great
36:50and it's very true
36:51actually across
36:52the board.
36:58Yeah, these are all
36:59grouping together now
37:00riders that were
37:01racing each other
37:01quite closely yesterday
37:03Iden, Nesbitt,
37:04Haslam, Cook and Brooks
37:06they're fifth down to ninth
37:07there's nothing really
37:08splitting them.
37:13Storm Stacey again
37:14just sort of
37:15faded at this stage
37:16of the race
37:17so he's not going to be
37:18part of that.
37:19You know
37:19for whatever reason
37:21that he's having to ride
37:22so hard
37:22I mean I think it is
37:23something of a
37:24bike setup issue
37:26then you're going to
37:27wear your tyres out.
37:28You know
37:29riding like that
37:29you're either going to
37:30wear your tyres out
37:31or you're going to
37:31make a mistake
37:31or you're going to
37:32make a couple of
37:32mistakes
37:33and you're not
37:33going to go forward
37:34if you're having to
37:35ride that hard
37:36to do your lap times
37:37the whole time.
37:37Kyle Ride then
37:38he has gone
37:39slightly quicker
37:40on that last lap
37:40over Rory Skinner
37:41and he's got some
37:42good speed around
37:43Richie's
37:43but doesn't fancy
37:44the move there
37:45Rory Skinner then
37:46he's going to have to
37:47work hard
37:47to hold on
37:48and he's made a mistake
37:49he just about
37:50holds on to second
37:51place for now.
37:52Yeah he's pushing on
37:53though
37:53he's Rory
37:53he knows he's got
37:54company obviously.
37:56Around Palma
37:57and up towards
37:58Agostini
37:59the Cheshire Moulding's
38:02Ducati rider
38:03Taz racing
38:04he'll have seen
38:05on his pit board
38:05that it's plus
38:06nought
38:07he knows
38:08that he's got
38:08company.
38:14Yep
38:14so this is Rory
38:16just gets in
38:16a little bit
38:17hot
38:17runs
38:18what
38:18a metre and a half
38:19wide
38:20Kyle
38:20thinks he'll have
38:21a little bit
38:22of a go
38:22Rory sees him
38:23kind of squares
38:24it off a little bit
38:25I'm in no danger
38:26there
38:26but yeah
38:28it's an indication
38:28that Rory's trying
38:30to live out
38:30top lefty
38:32picture there
38:33you can just see
38:33Steve Plater
38:34having a chat
38:35with Matt Last
38:36Kyle Wright's team
38:38the OMG
38:38not just competition
38:40there's a lot
38:41full crew there
38:42keeping an eye
38:43I think
38:43Shannon his crew chief
38:44you see Tommy Hill
38:45in the background
38:45there as well
38:46and Harvey Beltram
38:47he's had a good
38:48couple of weeks
38:49actually
38:49in general
38:50and a good day
38:52yesterday
38:52with Jack Kennedy
38:53in SuperSport
38:53definitely tune in
38:54to the SuperSport
38:55race coming up
38:55later
38:56that was a belty
38:56yesterday
38:57more to come
38:57he'll be hoping
38:58Tommy Bridewell
38:59here
38:59can pinch
39:00a podium
39:01from Rory Skinner
39:02and Kyle Wright
39:02yeah and of course
39:03a fantastic
39:04T for Honda
39:05and it was good
39:05to see
39:06they flick it left
39:08now onto
39:09the centre straight
39:10Bradley Ray
39:11about to start
39:12lap 11 of 12
39:13another 47.8
39:16from the race leader
39:18Skinner
39:19Ride
39:20and Bridewell
39:20all over the line
39:21all in the 47s
39:23themselves
39:23Tommy Bridewell
39:25marginally quicker
39:26than the pair
39:27ahead of him
39:27on that last lap
39:28yeah with two to go
39:29on a five second lead
39:30the best part of
39:31Bradbury
39:31doesn't have to do
39:32anything
39:32he all he's ever
39:33do is
39:33do what he's doing
39:34is
39:34oh he's wide again
39:36and that's lost him down
39:37and that might be
39:38one or two
39:38does Rory even know
39:39that Tommy's there
39:40further back
39:42Christian Hiddin
39:42in that battle
39:43for fifth
39:44but let's keep
39:44our eyes on this
39:45for now
39:45Kyle Wright's
39:46now gone wide
39:46and through goes
39:47Rory Skinner
39:48making a lot of
39:49mistakes
39:49these lot
39:49now into
39:52Agostini
39:53Tommy Bridewell
39:54for now
39:54just sitting there
39:55waiting
39:56watching this one
39:57number 11
40:00Rory Skinner
40:00who picked up
40:02his first podium
40:02of the season
40:03with a third
40:03at Donington
40:04last time out
40:05looking for
40:06a second place
40:07finish now
40:08with the Cheshire
40:08Mouldings
40:08Ducati
40:09and it feels
40:09like they're all
40:10I can't imagine
40:11they're running
40:12out of grip
40:12necessarily
40:13but it is hot
40:14it is warm
40:14they're just
40:15pushing on
40:16let's see this
40:17again
40:17he just goes
40:21in too quick
40:21gets a little
40:22bit of slide
40:23at the rear
40:23as he's going
40:24in initial
40:25breaking
40:25but yeah
40:27he just went
40:27in too quick
40:28now it's a
40:32Brundle
40:32the left-hander
40:33under the bridge
40:34and flick it
40:35right to Nelson
40:35this is where
40:36Glenn had his
40:37horror smash
40:37earlier
40:38in the weekend
40:39there's not
40:40going to be
40:40room for an
40:41overtake here
40:41your next chance
40:43is a good run
40:44here out of
40:45the bomb hole
40:46around Coram's
40:46and into Murray's
40:47but Roy's been
40:48pretty strong
40:48at this part
40:49of the circuit
40:50he takes that
40:50nice wide
40:51swooping line
40:52yeah he does
40:53you've got to
40:53clip the curve
40:54there as you break
40:55he's going to
40:55have a look
40:56at the inside
40:56it's Kyle
40:57you could see
40:58him saying that
40:58because it didn't
40:59apex it where
40:59you need to
41:00apex it for a
41:01fast line
41:01out of Murray's
41:02we start the
41:04final lap
41:04Bradley Ray
41:05is already
41:06well up the
41:06road
41:07but who's going
41:07to be on the
41:08podium with him
41:08into Richie's
41:09corner
41:10this is where
41:11Kyle tries to
41:12build
41:12he's got a
41:12good run
41:13he's got a
41:13lovely riding
41:14line there
41:15and he's going
41:15to be right
41:16on the tail
41:16of Rory Skinner
41:17and will surely
41:17look for the
41:18inside line
41:18or is he
41:19relying on
41:19Rory
41:20running wide
41:21again
41:21this time
41:22better from
41:23Skinner
41:24he'll be definitely
41:24hoping for a
41:25mistake from
41:25Rory
41:25will Kyle
41:26other than
41:27that
41:28Tommy
41:29will be hoping
41:29for them to
41:30get locked in
41:31and both make
41:31a mistake
41:32and run wide
41:32Nick and Nick
41:33second
41:33other than that
41:34I think Kyle's
41:35got to be really
41:36good onto the
41:37back straight
41:37and then
41:38try and do
41:40something with a
41:40slipstream
41:41and breaking
41:41off the end
41:42of it
41:42not close
41:43enough there
41:43Skinner holds
41:44his line
41:45I actually don't
41:46think he's going
41:46to have the pace
41:47down the straight
41:48against the
41:49V4 de Kata
41:51and will Tommy
41:51Bridewell
41:51here try and
41:52pitch that
41:53third from
41:53Kyle
41:54Ride as
41:55well
41:55Ride desperately
41:56looking for
41:57somewhere to
41:58go through
41:58on Skinner
41:59this is where
41:59Kyle
41:59Ride needs
42:00to start
42:00building
42:00and he's
42:02oh that
42:04would be
42:04bold
42:04I don't
42:06think that
42:06would work
42:07because I
42:07think that
42:07would give
42:08the advantage
42:08back to
42:09Rory
42:09on to the
42:10Bentley
42:11straight
42:11we go
42:12Rory
42:12Skinner
42:12number 11
42:13should have
42:13the punch
42:13on the
42:14Ducati
42:14ahead of
42:15the Yamaha
42:16unless there's
42:16a lunge
42:17coming here
42:17there might
42:18be one
42:18coming from
42:19Tommy
42:19as well
42:19no
42:19Roy Skinner
42:20now surely
42:21just got to
42:21hold his
42:22line
42:22will Kyle
42:23have a look
42:24into Murray's
42:24corner
42:25he had a
42:25little bit
42:25of test
42:25last lap
42:26didn't
42:27he
42:27so this
42:28is where
42:28it all
42:28begins
42:29through the
42:29bottom hole
42:30in
42:30into the
42:31dip
42:31and now
42:32Kyle
42:32Ride is
42:32building
42:33you can
42:33just see
42:34there
42:34he's got
42:34the power
42:35down
42:35nicely
42:35he's now
42:36taking the
42:36wide approach
42:37to try and
42:38cut through
42:38to pitch
42:39second spot
42:39off Rory
42:40Skinner
42:40is it going
42:41to be good
42:41enough
42:42Skinner's
42:42going to have
42:43to be late
42:43on the
42:43break
42:43the lunge
42:44is coming
42:44he's coming
42:45through but
42:45he's not
42:46been able to
42:46get through
42:47on the
42:47cutback
42:47Bradley
42:48Ray is
42:48going to
42:49win
42:49he might
42:50nick
42:51third
42:51he might
42:52it's a run
42:52to the
42:52line
42:53we can't
42:54quite see
42:54it
42:54Skinner
42:55that's a
42:55photo finish
42:56for third
42:56it says on
42:57our screens
42:57Bridewell has
42:58pinched it
42:59from Kyle
43:00ride
43:00we'll get
43:01confirmation
43:01of that
43:02in a moment
43:03by 8000th
43:05of a second
43:05that's what
43:06he says
43:06but yeah
43:07that attempt
43:09on a move
43:10for second
43:11definitely
43:12I think
43:12if it does
43:13prove that
43:13he's finished
43:14fourth
43:14cost Kyle
43:14ride third
43:15there
43:15we'll get
43:19a quick shot
43:19of that
43:20over the
43:20line
43:20let's see
43:21this again
43:22then
43:22just in
43:23the background
43:23you'll see
43:24in the
43:24background
43:24so Kyle's
43:25got the
43:25position
43:25got second
43:26runs in
43:26wide on
43:27the way
43:27out
43:27I'd have
43:27expected
43:28that
43:28but
43:28it costs
43:29him
43:30time
43:30down
43:30the
43:30straight
43:30now
43:31Tommy's
43:31thinking
43:31right
43:31I'll have
43:32a go
43:32at this
43:32yeah
43:34he's
43:35definitely
43:35Tommy
43:35there
43:36so
43:38Kyle's
43:39move
43:39for second
43:40has cost
43:40him
43:40some
43:41valuable
43:41points
43:42but what
43:42can you
43:42say
43:42about
43:43Bradley
43:43Ray
43:43there's
43:44nothing
43:44left
43:44to say
43:45no
43:45he's
43:45inch
43:45perfect
43:46everywhere
43:46he's
43:47unstoppable
43:47we don't
43:48even know
43:49if he's
43:49perfect
43:49we haven't
43:50seen
43:50much
43:50of him
43:50congratulations
43:55to
43:56Cheshire
43:56Mouldings
43:56Ducati
43:57Steve
43:58Plater
43:59and
43:59Mike
44:00Skinner
44:00Rory's
44:00dad
44:01just
44:01embracing
44:02one another
44:02and as you
44:03said James
44:03he deserves
44:04it
44:04absolutely
44:05had a lot
44:06of bad luck
44:07put a lot
44:07of effort in
44:08and you know
44:09what
44:09this sounds odd
44:10because these are
44:10motorcycle racers
44:11they're all into
44:12motorcycles right
44:12but Rory is a
44:14genuine
44:15motorcycle
44:16enthusiast
44:17he's got old
44:17bikes
44:18he restores bikes
44:18his dad's got a little
44:19bit of a collection
44:20he goes riding two
44:21strokes around
44:21circuits and
44:22making smoke and noise
44:23on them
44:24so yeah
44:25he definitely
44:26deserves it
44:26for me
44:27six of the
44:29opening seven
44:30races then
44:30have gone the
44:31way of
44:32Bradley Ray
44:32and it's
44:33starting to feel
44:34a little bit
44:35like that
44:35season
44:35Leon cameo
44:36was dominant
44:36and people
44:38struggled to
44:39stop him
44:39that said
44:40he's matched
44:41your record
44:42from 1993
44:44with six wins
44:45out of the
44:46first seven
44:46races
44:47I was robbed
44:47of the other
44:47one by the
44:48way
44:48not that I
44:50can remember
44:51it
44:51Brad later
44:54on could win
44:55seven of the
44:55first eight
44:56look at that
44:57that's just
44:58lovely
44:58honestly these
44:59bikes have so
45:00much power
45:01to wheel him
45:03like that
45:03it's easy to
45:04get him up
45:04but just to be
45:05that balanced
45:05and stood on
45:06the pegs
45:06not so easy
45:07looking back
45:11through the
45:12order then
45:12behind Kyle
45:13Ride
45:13Haslam
45:14ended up
45:15pinching fifth
45:16from Christian
45:17in Eden
45:17Josh Brooks
45:18was seventh
45:18it was
45:19Nesbitt
45:19Cook
45:19we'll get
45:20the results
45:20for you
45:20in just
45:21a few
45:22moments
45:23Bradley Ray
45:29victorious
45:30imperious
45:31the winner
45:323.7 up
45:33on a great
45:34battle for
45:34seconds
45:34that was won
45:35by Woolridge
45:36Skinner
45:36Tommy
45:36Bridwell
45:37was gifted
45:38third in the

45:39ahead of
45:39Kyle Ride
45:40who was the
45:41big loser
45:41there on

45:43ahead of

45:49Fraser Rogers
45:53picked up

47:40we said
47:40didn't we
47:41earlier
47:41in the
47:41weekend
47:41that the
47:42weekend
47:42was
47:42looking
47:42a bit
47:42better
47:43conditions
47:43look
47:43quite gusty
47:44there
47:44but the
47:44result
47:45was the
47:45same
47:45another
47:45podium
47:46congratulations
47:46yeah
47:47tough
47:48really tough
47:49conditions
47:49actually shaky
47:50to be honest
47:50let me take
47:51my sunnies
47:51off
47:51yeah
47:53tough
47:53honestly
47:53the weird
47:54bit was
47:55it's quite
47:55intermittent
47:55so some
47:56corners
47:56you come
47:57out of
47:57the
47:57bombo
47:57and it
47:58wouldn't
47:58be quite
47:59so bad
47:59yesterday
48:00I was
48:00actually
48:00coming out
48:01the
48:01bombo
48:01and going
48:01third
48:02fourth
48:02I was
48:02going
48:02a lot
48:03stronger
48:03there
48:03but because
48:04of the
48:04inconsistence
48:05of the
48:05wind
48:05I just
48:06kept
48:06it in
48:06third
48:07really
48:07strong
48:08around
48:08Corham
48:08but
48:10we're
48:11just
48:11lacking
48:11in the
48:12straight
48:12a little
48:12bit
48:12speed
48:13some
48:13areas
48:13but credit
48:14to Honda
48:14we've made
48:15such big
48:16steps this
48:16weekend
48:16I'm so
48:17so proud
48:17of them
48:18so honestly
48:19there's not
48:19one negative
48:20really
48:20bar this
48:22and that
48:22and everything
48:22but Brad's
48:24on another
48:24level
48:25brilliant to
48:26see
48:26to be honest
48:27I admire
48:28anyone that's
48:29able to
48:29ride in that
48:30form
48:31it's up to
48:32us to
48:32obviously
48:32catch up
48:33Rory had
48:34pace
48:34but it looked
48:35like he was
48:36struggling a
48:36little bit
48:37and me and
48:37Cole come
48:38back at him
48:38the only place
48:39I'm quite a
48:40bit stronger
48:40than probably
48:41the pair of
48:41them was
48:42around
48:42Corham
48:42unfortunately
48:43I tried to
48:44pass
48:44earlier in
48:45the race
48:45to then
48:45catch
48:46Rory a
48:46bit earlier
48:46but he
48:48knew what
48:48was coming
48:48but then
48:49I also
48:49knew what
48:50he was
48:50going to
48:50do on
48:50the last
48:51lap
48:51so
48:51played

49:19afternoon
49:20one step better
49:22we'll try to do
49:22more of the same
49:23I think
49:23after yesterday's
49:25issue in the race
49:26it's nice to reward
49:26the boys
49:26to a podium
49:27another track
49:28another podium
49:29for us
49:29first year on this
49:30bike
49:30we're getting there
49:31well done Rory
49:31great job
49:32cheers
49:32right and your race
49:34two winner
49:34Bradley Ray
49:35just over there
49:36talking with our
49:36assistant David
49:37actually
49:37Bradley
49:37another masterclass
49:39pole position
49:40fastest lap
49:41race win
49:41you're getting a bit
49:42greedy
49:42yeah I know
49:43when Kyle done that
49:45move on the first
49:46the first lap
49:46I knew then
49:47I had to
49:47I had to get my
49:48head down
49:49I've had
49:49I've had good pace
49:50I had good pace
49:50at the start of the race
49:51and mid race
49:52I had good pace
49:53as well
49:53so I just tried
49:54to get my head down
49:55the wind is a bit
49:56a bit iffy
49:57you break one minute
49:58the same point
49:59and then the next lap
49:59you break the same point
50:00then you end up
50:01running wide
50:01so you've got to be
50:02a little bit cautious
50:02there but
50:03no it's a nice race
50:04and I enjoyed it
50:05see how you get on
50:06this afternoon
50:06well done Bradley
50:07cheers mate
50:07thank you
50:08he will definitely
50:10be the favourite
50:11to make it another
50:11treble here
50:12after doing exactly
50:13the same at
50:13Donington Park
50:14does sound like
50:15the conditions
50:16were quite different
50:16today
50:17the same for
50:18everybody
50:18and Brad
50:19made it happen
50:19yeah gusty wind
50:21coming and going
50:22but he just got
50:23out in front
50:24and we were
50:25we thought it would
50:25probably be more
50:26of the same
50:26and it was
50:27no one really
50:28he had an answer
50:29Carl had that bit
50:30of a lunge
50:30went wide
50:31and that was it
50:32he had to have a go
50:33but then at the end
50:34of the day
50:35Brad just got in
50:35his rhythm
50:36bing bing bing
50:37bing and suddenly
50:37it was four or five
50:38seconds
50:38backed it off
50:39the last couple
50:40of laps
50:40so another real
50:41masterclass
50:42yeah if somebody's
50:43you know 0.2
50:440.3 quicker
50:45per lap than you
50:46we'll have a chance
50:46of getting in front
50:47of them
50:47roughing them all
50:48putting them off
50:48the rhythm
50:49running them wide
50:49whatever
50:50where they are
50:51for second quicker
50:51not that easy
50:53alright let's get
50:55back to the podium
50:56then with Steve
50:57that's guys
50:59yeah Rory's
51:00going up there
51:01with a big smile
51:01on his face
51:02so good to see
51:03as we mentioned
51:04at the start
51:04of the season
51:05we weren't really
51:05expecting them
51:06to start threatening
51:08for podiums
51:09until we get to
51:09Knock Hill
51:09and done a fine
51:11fine job
51:11Brad Ray
51:13heads up
51:13onto the top
51:14step
51:15and the trophies
51:16are about to be

51:20Champion
51:21this is his 108th
51:23podium
51:24he's continuing
51:26a really good
51:26record here
51:27at Snefferton
51:27as well
51:28for Rory
51:28the number 11
51:30that's podium
51:30number 11
51:31for him
51:32and we'll see
51:33many more of those
51:34but for Brad Ray
51:35this astonishing
51:36record this year
51:37continues
51:37win number 17
51:39of his career
51:39seven races
51:40seven podiums
