00:00Hello, this is ESOOP, aka Specific Soup. Today I'm reacting to Lido's solo from One Us, Sun Goes Down.

00:11Now, kind of a solo, kind of not, because it's featuring Yong Yong. I don't know who Yong Yong is, but as I've heard, Yong Yong and Lido had a previous collaboration.

00:22I, a while back, was starting to react to all of the One Us solo singles that had been coming out.

00:32And I had the one by Konhi. It was saved in my computer. I completely forgot about editing and posting it for a while.

00:41And the other day I was like, wait a minute, I still have this here. I finally edited it and posted it.

00:46And now I'm back on track, or well, very behind the track, but I'm back going through the list of the remaining singles that came out after that one.

00:58And also a commenter told me that you don't pronounce the first E in Konhi. At least I think that's what they were saying.

01:05So I think it's Konhi and not Kyonhi. So tell me if I'm saying that correctly, but I might actually have it right now.

01:12So this is Sun Goes Down by Lido, featuring Yong Yong.

01:16I already, already knew the answer to the question of if they had subtitles, which is that they don't.

01:44Because Rainbow Bridge just doesn't have English subs for some reason.

02:01I was going to say, I'm not used to him having all that distortion on his voice.

02:06I feel like they don't normally do that.

02:10In one of the songs, as I recall, like he's normally just rapping and they don't put a ton of distortion on him.

02:20But as he's doing his own song, well, almost completely, they might make some different choices.

04:48But I'm enjoying the contrast between Lido and Young Young's parts, and how different they sound

04:55I think that I kinda prefer the type of, like, faster rapping that Lido does, uh, within the group in their regular songs

05:06Or just, like, the contrast of him between the other members, versus, like, this as a solo

05:12With, like, especially with him doing, kind of, like, the parts that his voice are distorted

06:09Yeah, I think the way I'm feeling about that one is that I would have to hear other Leto solos because this is my first one.

06:16But I kind of prefer to just have him rapping. I think it's what he does best.

06:23And if he does want to show off his strengths as a singer, then I want to hear that without the vocal distortion.

06:32Because there's a lot of times that I like that in a song, but for some reason in this song, it just feels like it's dulling it a little bit and making it a little bit less interesting to me.

06:43But I overall found this enjoyable.

06:47But I found that Yong Yong's parts were really standing out to me in this because I wanted, like, something more from Leto's part.

06:55So I'm just being totally honest as, like, a first impression of this.

07:00I'll definitely go back and listen to it again, and it might even go in my playlist.

07:05Like, it's not bad by any means, but I do feel like Leto can do more interesting things.

07:11But it was atmospheric. I'll give it that.

07:15And I am going to look up the lyrics.

07:16I do find that, like, actually having the lyrics, it often helps.

07:21If I'm unsure about a sound, maybe the lyrics explain the mood of the song or why they made certain choices that they did.

07:29So I'm going to go see if I can find English lyrics for this real quick.

08:37And there's a line about a blocked cycle.

08:40And of course, you know, the sun going down is part of a cycle.

08:52You wouldn't know the secret hidden behind the shine.

09:03When I look back, I'm already high up, floating above.

09:10The sunset, like hell to me, is a beautiful theme in a song.

09:14Spotlight like the sun burns as much as it shines.

09:17So the sun is like a negative thing here.

09:20Or it's burning, it's painful, it's harsh, whatever.

09:24However, the gold you want is heavier than you think.

09:29I could be a chance, it could be a change.

09:33I can do anything because it should be me.

09:36I prayed, may everything be round.

09:38I don't know why the sun goes down.

09:41I don't know why I turned around and what I want to do every day.

09:50I think I get an idea around a cycle.

09:54And maybe it's like he's feeling stuck in a cycle and relating the cycle of the sun coming up and going down to that.

10:02And then there's some stuff that makes it sound like the sun is actually sort of a negative force or something that brings pain.

10:11The lyrics are really interesting.

10:14I think I just, it gives me a little bit more of an idea about what's going on in the song.

10:19But it doesn't necessarily explain the sound that they went for, if that makes sense.

10:26But that's okay.

10:27I will definitely be listening to this again and it's possible my feelings on this song might change.

10:33It just, I've really enjoyed Leto's parts in One Us songs that I've heard.

10:38And so I think I expected something different from a Leto single.

10:43And there are other Leto solo singles and I will be checking some of them out.

10:49So it might just be this one.

10:51It just, the song has a certain mood and I can appreciate that.

10:55And I think it just wasn't the mood that I was really looking for or feeling right now.

11:00And sometimes it's just like that.

11:02I love One Us.

11:03All the members are great.

11:04And, you know, sometimes I'm just not going to love something that one of them does.

11:09But that's okay.

11:11I still found this enjoyable.

11:13It just wasn't like way up here for me.

11:16But it happens.

11:17And on this channel, I do like to be honest rather than acting overexcited about something

11:24that I'm not actually that excited about.

11:26So my choices are either be honest and post the video and maybe some people won't like

11:33it or realize I didn't like something and then not post the video.

11:39But I said that I was going to do the One Us solo singles.

11:43So I'm going to post the video because it would be weird to just leave it out.

11:48So that was my reaction to Sun Goes Down by Leto featuring Yong Yong.

11:52I do want to check out the other Leto single featuring Yong Yong and maybe some other Leto

11:59solos.

12:45But anyway, I'm going to be reacting to all of those.
