00:00No matter how advanced a design you make for the plane, how will you stop bird hits?
00:07You took away their homes.
00:09Do you know what tempts those poor birds?
00:15There is grass on both sides of the runway and in that grass are tiny insects.
00:21The birds come drawn by that temptation because you took away their natural homes.
00:26In a way, it's not that the bird hit the plane, it's the plane that hit the bird.
00:32Technically it's not even called a bird hit, it's called bird ingestion.
00:38The jet engine sucks the bird in and ingests it.
00:41A jet engine doesn't just pull in one bird, it sucks in the entire flock.
00:47And the more you keep destroying the homes of animals, the more they'll keep coming closer
00:53to your cities, neighbourhoods and airports.
00:56No bird wants to come out in 50 degree heat.
01:00Birds generally.
01:01What is the time when they are most active?
01:04Morning and evening.
01:05Especially in this heat you won't hear much chirping.
01:08But why are the birds out?
01:09Because they aren't finding food in the morning and evening.
01:11And when they can't find food during those times, they are forced to search.
01:16Even in the afternoon, hoping to find something to eat.
01:19Why aren't they finding food?
01:20Because the places where they used to find food have now been occupied by humans.
01:24No bird wants to come near humans.
01:25If you go near a bird, have you seen what it does immediately?
01:29You're forcing the birds to come near you because you took their place, their trees, their food.
01:34What are they supposed to do?
01:35They don't even have space to build nests anymore.
01:38You've spread out everywhere.
