00:39NDLEA in a news release on Sunday also stated that its men intercepts Bahrain, Australia bound loud, cocaine consignments in cloth hangers, female dress, and over 1 million pills of opioids in Bauchi, and raided provision stores in Edo State.

00:59A 43-year-old female makeup artist, Adekoya Adabakona Mary who claimed to be traveling to India for a fibroid surgery has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the Matala Muhammad International Airport, MMIA, Okeja Lagos after 2.20 kilograms of cocaine were discovered factory fitted in the walls of her bag.
01:24The suspect was arrested on Monday 16 June 2025 based on credible intelligence.
01:32Under surveillance, Adekoya was allowed to check in her luggage and arrested at the point of boarding her Qatar Airways flight to India via Doha.
01:40When her luggage was searched, two large parcels of cocaine weighing 2.20 kilograms were found concealed in the walls of the suitcase she was carrying.
01:51In her statement, she claimed she embarked on the trip for financial benefits but under the pretext of going to India for surgery to remove fibroid from her stomach.
02:00Further investigation revealed the suspect was recruited and funded by a drug baron currently at large, Akima Yinde Adekanbi who owns Rockford Hotel located in Sango area of Ogun State while he lives at Igbe Lara in Igbogbo area of Icarodu, Lagos State.
02:18At a courier company in Lagos, NDLEA operatives of the Directorate of Operation and General Investigation, DOGI, on Thursday 19 June intercepted a shipment of sewn female dresses containing 1.3 kilograms loud, a strong strain of cannabis, going to Bahrain,
02:38while at another courier firm, while at another courier firm the previous day, Wednesday 18 June, operatives uncovered 850 grams of cocaine concealed in cloth hangers heading to Australia.
02:50In Bauchi State, NDLEA offices acting on credible intelligence on Monday 16 June arrested the duo of Ibrahim Galadima, 37, and Ibrahim Mohamed, 28, along Bauchi-Durazo Road.
03:04A total of 1,013,000 pills of opioids namely, Tramadol, Diazepam and EXOL-5 were recovered from them.
03:14While 38-year-old Bisha Isyaku was nabbed on Tuesday 17 June at Wagwaje along Kaduna, Zarya Expressway with 14.2 kilograms skunk, a strain of cannabis, concealed in two sacks of charcoal and seven cartons of rubber solution weighing 198 kilograms.
03:34NDLEA operatives in Abuja on Wednesday 18 June arrested Matala Adamu, Ahmed Isamal and four others during raid operations at Karu Abattoir and Taurabora areas of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
03:50Recovered from them include 6.9 kilograms skunk and 59 grams of methamphetamine.
03:55In Karu, NDLEA offices on patrol along Zarya Karu Road on Thursday 19 June arrested Umar Hamisu, 19, and Dahiru Abdullahi, 32, with 56.2 kilograms skunk,
04:11while another suspect Obawaru Henry, 27, was nabbed same day with 23,720 capsules of tramadol and 1,400 ampoules of pentazocene along Jabba Road Fag local government area.
04:26Similarly, Abu Bakar Modu, 60, was nabbed with 36.6 kilograms skunk and Abdul Qadir Muhammad, 28, with 32 kilograms of same substance along Zarya Karu Road on Saturday 21 June.
04:42A 22-year-old female student of Kwara State, Polytechnic, Ollerton Nifemi, notorious for selling illicit substances to other students,
04:52was on Thursday 19 June arrested at her base along Kwara Poly Road, Aloran, with one kilogram skunk.
05:00A total of 4,226.11 kilogram skunk was destroyed at Wubbada Camp, Uzeba Forest, Owen West local government area,
05:10Edo State when NDLEA operatives raided the camp to destroy cannabis farms on Friday 20 June.
05:18A suspect, Albert Shamacki, 33, was nabbed during the operation.
05:23Operatives had on Thursday 19 June raided the Big Jamiah supermarket at Amado Community in Essen West local government area
05:32where a suspect, Esther Abumir, 28, was arrested and assorted illicit drugs recovered.
05:38Illicit substances seized include Colorado, Loud, Mollie, Tramadol and other opioids.
05:46Another raid at a provision shop at Idamekarigweban led to the seizure of 1.143 kilogram skunk and arrest of a female suspect, Echo Gift, 38.
05:57The war against drug abuse, WADA, social advocacy activities by NDLEA commands equally continued across the country in the past week.
06:06Some of them include, WADA sensitization lecture delivered to students and staff of Government Day Arabic Secondary School,
06:15Guri, Jigawa, Government College, Lafia, Nasarawa, Atodo Secondary School, Ankpa, Kogi, Nachgun Junior Secondary School,
06:25Jabba, Jabba, Kano, and Shaham Academy, Abagwa, Enugu, while the OSIN State Command of NDLEA paid a WADA advocacy visit to the Uni of IF,
06:36Obaradiyei Enitonogonwusi, at his palace in our life, among others.
06:41While commending the officers and men of MMIA, DOGI, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Kwara, Edo and FCT commands of the agency for the arrests and seizures of the past week,
