00:00Hey, shalom brothers and sisters, welcome back. I thank you again for joining me today.
00:05Today I want to do a biography about this man of faith right here. His name is Michael S. Heiser.
00:11He was born on February 14th, 1963 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
00:17So, I have a couple of his books and I'm going to do book reviews on at least the two books I got so far.
00:23I'm going to do that in the future, so keep an eye out on that.
00:26But anyways, I want to read this to you right here.
00:30He was an American Old Testament scholar and Christian author, trained in ancient history, Semitic languages, and the Hebrew Bible from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
00:46His expertise and work focused on the nature of the spiritual realm in the Bible and also about spiritual matters more generally.
00:55And he wrote more than 10 books on these subjects since 2010.
01:03You've got to please excuse me. I've got sloppy handwriting in my notes and everything, but please bear with me.
01:08He served as executive director of the School of Ministry at Celebration Church in Jacksonville, Florida, and previously as scholar-in-residence at Faith Life Corporation.
01:22He ran the Naked Bible Podcast in Miclot, that's how you pronounce that, M-I-Q-L-A-T, a ministry to disseminate his scholarship.
01:37He also hosted the Peeranormal, it's P-E-E-R-A-Normal, instead of paranormal, it's Peeranormal, podcast until 2021,
01:53which discussed peer-reviewed research on the paranormal.
02:02He had additionally been active in media productions around his area of interest and in response to popular presentations relating to spiritual matters,
02:14like materials in the Strange Things series and in rebutting ancient astronauts' conjectures,
02:22such as Zachariah Sitchin in the Ancient Alien series.
02:30Heiser appeared in the 2018 documentary film's Fragments of Truth in 2019 in the Unseen Realm.
02:39In 2021, Heiser was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
02:46On January 4, 2023, his wife posted on his Instagram page with an accompanying picture of the hospitalized,
02:55Heiser noted that he had been admitted for severe anemia that physicians had stabilized him
03:03and were seeking to determine a source of blood loss.
03:07On January 22nd, he announced on his Facebook that he was at the end of the road in late stage 4
03:19of a very aggressive pancreatic cancer.
03:24Sorry, I'm getting a little emotional here.
03:26Michael Heiser passed away on February 20th, 2023, a week after his 60th birthday.
03:35Heiser was married to Drina, and they had three daughters and one son.
03:43So, yeah, we lost a real man of faith there.
03:49I watched some of his videos on YouTube, and like I said, I got a couple of his books right here.
03:56And I'm going to do some book reviews sometime in the future.
04:02But he always talked about the Divine Council.
04:06He talked about the Nephilim, some of the legends from the Book of Enoch, of course.
04:11He's heavily into the Book of Enoch.
04:15Of course, he's in Scripture, of course.
04:17But, yeah, it's just a shame that he passed away.
04:22But, anyways, I want to just make it a little short and everything.
04:27And, sorry, I'm just getting a little emotional.
04:31But, yeah, he was one of a kind.
04:37And I think we all need to pray for his family and read his books.
04:43You can get his books off Amazon.com.
04:45Check them out on YouTube and everything else.
04:48And, anyways, that's all I have to say right now.
04:51And until we meet again, brothers and sisters, peace out and shalom.
