Transcript
00:00Hey, Shalom brothers and sisters, welcome back. I thank you again for joining me today.
00:04Well, today I'm going to introduce a book to you. It's a book review, of course, like I always do.
00:09And this book review, this book is called The Islamic Jesus by Mustafa Akyol, if I pronounced that right.
00:20It says up here, how the king of the Jews became a prophet of the Muslims.
00:25It's right, right here.
00:30Of course, I knew Muslims considered Yeshua a prophet and they hold him high esteem, high honors, as long as, you know, with his mother, Miriam, Mary.
00:45And some people say the Virgin Mary, but she wasn't really a virgin after Yeshua was born, of course.
00:50She had more kids, James and Simon and so forth.
00:53But this book here, top of it here, the Christian Science Monitor basically said, a brave commentary.
01:05This book here is, I get that page out, 275 pages long.
01:17It's got an index in the back, see, got notes.
01:23There's some notes in the back also.
01:26And, uh, acknowledgements.
01:29There's acknowledgements after that.
01:32And in the back here, it has a biography of the author.
01:37And, uh, I'll show you right here.
01:42There's the biography of the author right there.
01:49But anyways, this book was published by St. Martin's Griffin.
01:53And it's got some good book reviews in the back.
01:58See when this book was, I'll see when this book was, uh, copyrighted.
02:05It was, uh, 2017 was copyrighted.
02:12And it talks about, talks about, they do, they don't believe that, uh, Yeshua, they don't believe he was, uh, son of Yahweh.
02:21They, they believe he was a prophet.
02:23They believe he was a prophet.
02:26Uh, you don't, they don't believe in, uh, uh, see, there's a lot of things they don't believe in about him.
02:32But they believe that he was a prophet.
02:34And in fact, Muhammad, you think Muhammad would be the most mentioned prophet in the Koran.
02:41But that's not true.
02:43You had Moses.
02:44They talked a lot about Moses.
02:45They talked a lot about Yeshua and his mother.
02:48They talked about their belief in the one God, the one Yahweh, whatever you want to call it.
02:56But, uh, this book, oh, by the way, this book, since I got it used, I got it off Amazon.com.
03:03And I got it real cheap.
03:05Uh, I saw it on, uh, I was re, I was watching a YouTube video.
03:09Some guy brought this book up and read, read some, uh, quotes from it.
03:14But this book here that I got, since it's used, it's got highlights in it, under, underlines, had some, like, notes off to the side of it.
03:22Notes that I can't read.
03:23It's so little.
03:23The notes and words are so little and scrambled.
03:26Uh, but it's a real good book.
03:28It's a very informative book.
03:30Uh, yeah, here's a cover of it.
03:34I'll just show you the page of it, I mean, uh, right there.
03:39And it's, it's, this is real, you know, for, for you's book, this is a real, real good condition.
03:45And you can get, I, I recommend you get this, look on Amazon.com, check this book out.
03:51Because a lot of people think that, uh, the Muslims, they don't, you know, they're completely different from Christianity.
03:59Well, that could be true.
04:00Christianity, but not early Christians.
04:02They're early Jewish Christians.
04:03Christians, they have some, some same beliefs about, about, uh, doctrine and everything that the early Jewish Christians believed.
04:12So, uh, yeah, I recommend, I'll tell you, get this book.
04:15You won't be disappointed for, you know, if you're into research and everything.
04:20I, I didn't know when I, when I got this book, I was interested in seeing what they'd have to say.
04:25And it did, it interested me and I learned a lot from it.
04:28Uh, but anyways, that's all I have to say about that.
04:30And I thank you guys for joining me and, uh, till we meet again, brothers and sisters.
04:34Peace out and shalom.
