00:00An amber heat health alert has been issued across the whole of England and is valid from
00:04midday Thursday until Monday morning, as temperatures are widely expected to exceed
00:0930 degrees Celsius as a heat wave takes control. This means there is a potential to disruption
00:14to healthcare services. Temperatures on Thursday will climb to 27 to 30 degrees Celsius across
00:20large parts of England and Wales, with up to 31 degrees Celsius expected for London and surrounding
00:25counties. This heat will then intensify and spread northwards on Friday and Saturday,
00:31with highs possibly climbing to 33 degrees Celsius in the east. Filling very warm across Scotland
00:36as well, with highs in the mid-20s, with 30 also possible. Filling very warm, hot and humid with
00:42plenty of sunshine, but there is a threat of some thunderstorms developing in the west on Saturday,
00:47offering a light relief here.
